    Years ago, a few friends got together and drove from Salt Lake to Calgary, then on to Edmonton. We spent a fun week there before heading west to Jasper, Lake Louise, & Banff. I was complete blown away by the beauty. Penticton lakes had the bluest water, and 100 miles east of Vancouver we saw a sign that read; "Breathe mountain air at sea level." Every turn in the road brought more beauty. Vancouver was great, Seattle was Seattle, and we headed southeast to Boise & back to Utah. I have great memories of that trip. I still remember chesterfields and serviettes too!

      I’m planning to drive on 29th of Nov and reaching Edmonton on 1st Dec this year. I’m little nervous about the road conditions and weather becoz it’s snowing and it is the first time I’m doing a long drive in this location. I’m not sure how will be the road conditions

    How long of time if pass Calgary for going to Edmontion ?

    • @elihiebert3950
      @elihiebert3950  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's about one hour longer to go through Calgary. So if you take the TransCanada Highway from Vancouver to Calgary, then head north on Highway 2 to Edmonton, it will take 13 hours.

    At what time did you leave and dif you encounter any moose?

    • @elihiebert3950
      @elihiebert3950  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      we left around 6am, don't think we saw any moose that time. We've seen moose there in the past though, over yellowhead pass, through the rockies. To see more wildlife in that area, spend the night in Valemount, BC, then hit the road at the crack of dawn and drive through the pass at feeding time.

    What dashcam did you use? And did you have multiple SD card to record all of it?

    • @elihiebert3950
      @elihiebert3950  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We used a gopro with a gopro suction cup mount. We have 3 64GB micro SD cards, which hold about 5.5 hours of 1080p video each. We just pulled over to change the SD card, doing it without bumping the positioning of the go pro to make it seamless.

      @muyaho420 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@elihiebert3950 Thank you, I'll be moving to Edmonton from Toronto in August and planning to record the journey. It seems a GoPro would be just fine. I'll just need a few more micro SD cards.

      @@muyaho420 Sounds nice, hopefully the quarantine is over by then. Most important thing for a summer drive through the praries is good wiper blades and lots of washer fluid. You get a bug in front of the camera and it wrecks the whole video

    Here is a very good joke for you. Whenever you are in that part of Alberta. Where is the worst place to have a flat tire?
    In No Jack.
    If you look really closely on the road map. No Jack really does exist. It is on a section of the old highway there. It is so small. If you blink. you miss it.
