Are those percentages of the opponent’s purse based on the show+win if the opponent wins? You treated it that for Gastelum/Rodriguez payouts. I thought the penalty was just a percentage of the show amount only, no matter who wins. The Wikipedia reports on UFC events have always treated that way, if I’m not mistaken. You may have better information.

As far as I know, it’s a % of show + win. For example at UFC 263, Peterson defeated Hooper and was fined $9,200, which was 20% of his $46,000 ($23,000 + $23,000) purse. Those numbers are disclosed.

@@MMAMoney That means that in a situation where there's a low paid fighter vs a high paid fighter, the low paid guy would earn more if he lost the fight. Interesting.

@xwhite2020 Potentially, but he’d also be missing out on his win money in that case.

Dude, not just the pay breakdown was great. Your recap of the fights is spot on 👌. Keep doing the payment breakdowns. You might be onto something. No one is doing this.

Why did Rob get 300k to show but only 100k for the win? It's supposed to be double if you win.

Some guys negotiate more money up front

How does gastelum get a bigger win bonus than rob 🤔

They usually get the same amount for show/win, but rob’s is just structured to get more up front. You can think of it like he’s getting 200+200.

It's not uncommon for veterans to structure their contract to be show money heavy.
