I was at that trailer park delivering Amazon packages when they were filming. The film crew were so nice and they did an amazing job making the place look spooky.
Woah, for real? That’s actually super cool. How does that get handled? Do they have to still let mail and package delivery services come around? I’d have thought they’d have asked residents to try to limit deliveries but I guess it’s also probably unavoidable, yah never know if they’re getting something from someone else.. I never even thought about how that would be handled on set. For example, where The Walking Dead is filmed, the Gin Properties in Georgia, it’s an active set but also a residence where people actively live. I’d assume in that situation they’d just leave them at the gates with someone or something since the property was technically created for the show purposes. But a trailer park that just happens to be in a show or a strip of street that they’re filming on..that’s a different story.
These filming locations videos are so cool. I find them really interesting, especially for Stranger Things! That 80’s vibe is what originally drew me in to the show.
Great video!!!! I’m Martin from Sydney, Australia. When I first finished watching three seasons during lockdown in 2020, I cried so hard and had the feeling so desperately wanting to meet them and have a look at the filming locations, but that was during Covid, and travel was impossible. I carved this feeling deep into my heart and kept saving up. In the past 10 days, I have traveled 20000km alone, and now, I’m in Atlanta, standing in front of Hopper’s cabin, in front of Hawkins high school, in front of any Hawkins filming location you can think of and waiting for the part 2 of Season 4 which is 5 hours away. I felt that a part of my life has been achieved.
glad you got to finally experience the filming locations you've been longing for! hope you enjoyed your stay and got some of that southern hospitality! i live in a neighboring state and have been deciding if me and the lady should make a day out of it. how was the trip?
@@Steve_ATL Yes I enjoyed it!! Although it’s sad that the mall is kinda abandoned now and entry is prohibited, but looking at the exterior still feels awesome
It’s interesting seeing the filming locations because it really shows how much work and effort goes into making the show. Everything is so spread out but the show manages to make everything feel close together. In this video, you can see how much different the sets look compared to how they do in the show. The FamilyVideo store is just wrecked but in the show, you couldn’t even tell what that set looked like before they filmed there. Even Hawkins High, there was overgrown grass and what not and they made sure to clean everything up for just a couple of shots. Videos like these really put into perspective of how much work is put in beyond filming and editing.
I watch a lot of movie filming locations videos from people and you do it right man!! Lots of angles of every location with the perfect movie clip angle too. Got a new subscriber. 🤙
I live in that trailer park so the fact that it was filmed in my neighbor is shocking. I remember when you could barely even get out of the trailer park or get in, And there was police officers and everything. So now i walk over to that part of the trailer park and I get goosebumps! I remember seeing Gaten riding down the road on his bike during the middle of the night while they were filming. Good job Duffer Brothers with Season 4! Can't wait for Season 5.
this is a great video, i appreciate you lining up the shots you took with the clips from the real show! I also appreciate your explanations of each location! nice job man
this is cool asf. The duffers were insane in picking an area to shoot and use the entirety of it as a set for Hawkins.. Everything was there, everything was previously used by real people too. Pretty much everything we saw in Hawkins were literally shot in this area, its insane to me. No much pre-built sets, at least for the exteriors. I wonder how they decided to use this existing, inhabited town as a set to shoot in after writing the script.
Hopper's cabin is also at the end of the finale for season 4. You were really close to it. It's on Storybook Christmas tree farm. At least the exterior shots of the cabin... that's where it's at. Not far from the palace arcade/family video...as well as the sheriff's office.
Your are a movie shot archeologist! Well done! This ranks up there to the John Hughes filming locations video I’ve seen for Ferris Bueller’s day off and The Breakfast Club shot by shot comparisons.
Actually the lake scenes there weren’t many filmed in the actual lake. Instead only the shots that are out of water on the lake. Everything else was shot In a giant pool they had create the set in and then filled with water. ❤️
I haven’t been involved in watching any of this series. I remember seeing ads for it when first out. I like out of sorts type of shows like this. Thanks Michael, looks interesting.

Mike, if you ever come to New Mexico, I can show you where some scenes of season 4 Stranger Things were filmed. Interiors were shot at the Netflix studios located in Abq. The jail seq. and the Pizza Store scenes were shot in a restaurant not to far from where I live. Cool stuff.
How many time did they have to repaint the Creel house? In the flashback scene it was dark blue, in the modern scenes it was run down looking and like a faded grey/blue. Now that filming is over it's dark grey.
Went to the school location this past Sunday and the gym and cafeteria doors were open so we got to go inside. There were at least 25-30 people visiting the site while we were there.
They built a giant tank at the convention center (near the airport yes) for the on water shots, only the scenes where they were entering the water we’re done at the lake
