I’m just catching on which countries you guys are spending this year. I always look forward to your travel blogs. I love how you guys highlight everything even the most random things. It’s very relatable 😅. This is the kind of slow travel we are interested in. I like that you also highlight the places you’re staying. I’ve been to Prague before but hoping to go back with my family. Prague is so underrated and around $20 for a meal with tip is just one of the reason why I love traveling across Europe.
Happy you are enjoying our videos ☺. We very much appreciate traveling through most of Europe as well, where we can get a meal and drink at an affordable price, unlike the States. Cheers!!
Brno is awesome ! I just came back from studying there and there’s so much I didn’t even do. Prague is beautiful but I preferred the mystery and beauty and warmth of Brno.
Brno was much more peaceful, that is for sure! We really loved both places but embraced the calmness and beauty that Brno had to offer. Thanks so much for watching!
Yay, we loved Brno! We plan on going back. We ate at the same restaurant (the traditional one) twice during our stay! There is so much to do there and in the surrounding area. As a plus it has a large Vietnamese population and along with that a ton of excellent Vietnamese restaurants as well!
Always look forward to your videos. Your quality is so consistent and good you might want to contact tourism offices in advance for where you are headed and see if they could use your services, especially since you are going to areas that aren’t totally on the tourist path.
Hi, I’ve just found your channel. I’d spent my studies there in Brno and it is the best place to live in CZ, it was hard move to Prague 😊 Great you had found and enjoyed this place. 🤗
We visited Kroměříž which is near Brno and just loved it. It’s where Amadeus was filmed. I believe it’s the most visited city by locals in the country. If you get a chance to visit it’s well worth a day a two for the gardens and to see the castle where the film was made.
Unfortunately, we didn't make it to Amadeus. We only had a couple of days in Brno and spent on going to Vienna. We may be returning next year!! Too many places to see that we missed! Thank you for watching and commenting!! Cheers!!🍻
Great video as always ! I once was told this bit of wisdom from a boat Captain in Maui : " You cant" drink all day unless you start early! The Czech beer looks great. Look forward to Vienna . Dan & Marj Calgary, AB .
More great content. A city that I hadn't visited or considered when I was in Czech Republic and I stayed in Prague, which was fabulous. This looks great. Something to consider. Carrie's meal at the end looked very authentic. The dark beer also looked quite interesting. Nice architecture. Looks like a place to visit. Enjoy Vienna. Much to see. The Opera house, Schonbrunn Palace which if you have seen Versailles you will see the tie in. Marie Antoinette grew up at Schonbrunn. Happy and safe travels.
We very much enjoyed Vienna although we didn't have enough time. A city like Vienna deserves more than just a few hours. We will return maybe as soon as next year. Thank you for all the comments, Robert. They are very much appreciated. Cheers!!🍻

Hi Guys, Nice video, it shows how straying from the tourist trail can reap benefits. In my opinion Czech beer is the best but not when it is bottled and exported. That is authentic Czech food. I had the same thing Brian was eating for lunch today. My wife is Slovak and that's the kind of food she knows how to cook. Looking forward to the Vienna video next weekend. Cheers 🍺
Wow, so lucky that your wife cooks Czech food - it's so so good! The dish Brian had we both ended up having twice while we were there, was our favorite by far. Cheers!!
@@BrianandCarrie Yes, it is one of my favourites too, and it is perfect with beer. After the Czech Republic I am sure beer like Gosser in Austria was disappointing. Looking forward to next weeks video.☺️

Super chill and sunny video! That hotel looks great! It's so good when you get a hotel that checks all the boxes with location, room, food and service and for a fair price too! Rare but amazing when it happens!

I love that when I watch your videos I feel that I’m traveling with my friends🥰 Thank you for maintaining the feel of your videos; friendly, fun, informative and best of all…beer thirsty 🤣👍🏻👏🏻✌🏻🤙🏻🍻🍻
What a beautiful town. You mentioned that it wasn't as touristy as some places. I'm curious as to how much English was spoken and how easy it was to communicate with the locals in their public serving capacities. Really looking forward to your next video on Vienna. Anticipating a major uptick of tourists there.😉
We had no issue at all with communication. Either enough English was spoken or we fumbled through with the Google translate app to see the menu. Thanks for watching 😊
mostly everyone here speaks english at some lvl, because Brno is the biggest student city and also being called "silicon valley of europe" for the amount of foreign workers and IT companies HQs located here. I am local, but I speak 50:50 czech and english with everyone on a daily basis
Yes, it's so central to so many easy day or overnight trips! We took advantage of that and headed to one while we were there ☺. Thanks so much for watching - Cheers!!
Czech Beer is awesome! So, it wasn't 2 thirsty, it was more like 2 earlsty....LOL! Hope you've had a great trip, I'm heading that way myself next week!
Hi Brian & Carrie. We always enjoy your videos & have been watching you from the start. While we like beer among other things to drink, I don't think you've ever mentioned where there are any bathrooms. We've been to Europe many times & try to limit liquids because bathrooms tend to be scarce. McDonalds, BK, Starbucks can be options if a code to enter is not required & you may not be required to make a purchase either but somtimes you must buy something. Due to the extreme heat one wants to stay hydrated, but lets face it you are always on the hunt for a bathroom. Please include this sometime. Your input will be informative.😊😊😊
The bathroom search is a real thing, especially here in Europe. It's funny you mentioned this as one of our soon upcoming videos we mentioned the bathroom situation 😁. A few things we've here is they charge everywhere - I used to try to avoid this and now I just make sure I have change to go. Better to not always be dehydrated. Cheers 🍻
Excellent video once again! Could those skies be any bluer for your videos? I think not! 😍 Brian looked pretty intent peering into that telescope. I bet he was scoping out all the beer places there. 🤣😂 Loved the shot of the bird statue in the fountain with a real bird sitting next to it. Safe travels. Looking forward to seeing your video from Vienna.
As always thank you so much for watching and commenting! We appreciate the continued support. And yes, we found a great spot peering into the telescope! 😆 Cheers!!🍻
Too funny. We heard Brian ask if the server knew where Seattle was and apparently he did not. We run into that quite often when traveling but when someone does know Seattle, it’s because of Grey’s Anatomy. 😅 Great video and that you’re discovering these amazing cities that are off the tourist beaten path. We’re headed to E. Europe next Sept so we’re taking some good notes. Ciao and enjoy your time
It is amazing how people don't know where Seattle is or even Washington, State. Just goes to show you that not everything revolves around the USA. 😄 Thanks for watching guys and safe travels! Cheers!!🍻
Guys, you did an amazing job. Really good shots of the best spots. Really appreciate it! Carrie is really knowledgeable about all the facts 👍 Born and raised in Brno. It is the coolest city in Czechia. There is no vibe like that in the country. Very laid back and good people too. Great central location in the region - close to the Alps in Austria, close to the Adriatic sea in Slovenia/Croatia, close to Vienna and Budapest. B|O|R|N B|R|N|O
Excellent video. You nailed it, Brno is nice but not too many tourists visit. They prefer Prague, while us, Brno citizens prefer them to go to Prague, not to spoil our summer atmosphere 😊 But, whenever some tourists appear, they are always welcome by great beer, traditional czech food and real Moravian (not Czech...) folks. There is a large difference in between these two cities. Prague is for tourists, Brno is for travelers to learn about the country called Moravia (or Great Moravia in history books), older then Czechia itself, now part of it ;)
This is exactly what we experienced and makes complete sense. I can't say i blame you wanting the tourists to go to Prague, it keeps that nice peaceful vibe we loved in Brno. Thanks so much for watching!! Cheers 🍻
I’m definitely adopting your beer time rule… or maybe I always had a rule like that but now feel justified 😂 This city looks amazing. It’s great to see some travels in Czech that isn’t just Prague. It’s on my bucket list for sure!
We wish we could have stayed in the Czech Republic longer, and Poland as well. We typically don't do fast travel. We will miss things that we would have liked to see. As long as you have a beer-drinking rule, it makes you sound more responsible. Cheers!!🍻
Hi guys, beautiful video of my very beloved Brno. In my heart forever! Brno actually has the most universities in the Czech Republic. So you are lucky you have been there during school holidays. In any other time it's busy and crowded but you are right - not with tourists. Around Brno is so many places to visit. The beautiful Punkva Cave and Macocha Gorge or Brno Reservoir where is also old castle Veveri located. Lots of old castles around everywhere you go. Maybe one day you'll come back to visit them :) Have lots of fun, enjoy your adventures! Love to watch your videos:)
We loved our time in Brno and our favorite hockey team, the Seattle Kraken, just drafted Eduard Sale. So cool that he is from Brno! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. We very much appreciate it. Cheers!!🍻
Beautiful movie💙 I was in Czech Republic four times (Ostrava, Liberec and two times in Prague) and I have plane to be in Brno and Olomuc in summer this year 😊 Greetings from Poland
This is great. I started watching u guys last year because I wanted info on Spain and the Algarve. Now i see Brno today and not only have i been there ( I’m a hockey scout), I stayed in ur hotel and obviously also checked out the attraction across the street lol - watched with my wife and she got to see some of the places i told her about. My visit was in 2012 so ur video was a nice trip down memory lane. Brno was a very pleasant surprise but Prague is incredible. Look forward to ur videos.
A hockey scout! Very cool!! The Krakens 1st round pick this year is from the Czech Republic! I have been interested in hockey for many years but until the Seattle Kraken arrived it wasn't easy being a fan without a home team. Even the Canucks are hard to follow, and where we are from is just as close to Vancouver as we are to Seattle. Thank you for watching our channel and supporting us. Cheers!!🍻
@@BrianandCarrie yes Sale is from CZE and guess which team he played for…you guessed it, Brno. He’ll be playing an hour from my home this coming year. Sate travels.
Always looking forward to your videos! Czech Republic is on my list of places I want to visit next. May I ask which airport you flew into, as it seems you didn't fly into Prague. Thanks!
We were only able to get a few hours in Vienna but what a beautiful city!! We are looking to get back this time next year and stay for a couple of days. Thank you for watching and safe travels!
Hi, We are from close to your place of origin (Redmond, WA) and follow your travels :) - We just been on a trip (not retired yet, we still have a year or 2) close by to where you're at - in the north of Slovakia, so it's nice to watch similar areas!
Looks like a very nice city...reminds a bit of Vienna and Austria where I used to live. So, after all your travels, have you decided where you want to live. I am heading back to Alicante soon for another look...
We had a great day in Vienna, beautiful city. We have not decided on a place to settle down although Alicante is a great city that checks a lot of our boxes. For now, we are having too much fun exploring new places. Safe travels!! Cheers!!🍻
So much to see in the world. Thank you for opening my eyes to places I never would have known of. Looking forward to your Austria video for sure! Do you think you'll be headed back to Tirana on this trip?
Austria was amazing!! We hope to get back and stay for a longer period of time next year. We will not be going to Tirana on this trip. We will make our way to Italy and Turkey on this trip. Thank you for continuing to watch our channel, Stacie!! ❤
Great work on the video really enjoyed it,love the look at the watch for 2 thirsty 😅 Do they just leave those chairs out for everyone. Oh did Bryan test the guard rail before
Špilberk castle (Szpilberg). The thing with separated shower and toilet is norm in Czech republic, even in regular homes. "Swedish breakfeast" - system take what you want - is also quite favourite in Czech hotels and hostels, but is not necesary norm. BTW Brno has interesting and extensive katacombs (underground tunels). It is said, once there was cave-in of the street in Brno, and some people who was there at the time went missing. Some were found under the cave-in, but some decided probably to venture around and got lost. During the search for the people (wich was unsuccessfull at the end) was found an human skeleton in nazi uniform. - probably leftover from WW2. The single column with stuatue on top, wich was on the square, is called Morový sloup (Plague column), and those were usually build as a "thank you" to patron saint of the city wich was not hit severly by plague, or at some places as reminder on the lost. If you would like more sweet beer, try next time the black beer. Was living in Brno for several years, now living in Prague. Brno has its merit, and is less hectic and much less of tourist trap, than Prague now is.
@Brian, as a fellow beer lover, while you're in the Czech Republic, you NEED to try a dark beer called Kozel Dark. My favorite beer and I haven't been able to find it since I left Prague in 2019!
Looks awesome, you should also look into going to Cesty Krumlov gorgeous town. !! I am new to your channel and travel a lot, if your looking for ideas I would really like to see a review of all the airbnbs you rented through out your travels, with your thoughts on their locations, good, bad and ugly lol Similar to the one you did in Koh Samui video and all is very helpful for future travel. Look forward to more !!
Welcome to the channel, Amanda! Great idea on the video. We are always looking for something new to add to the channel. We do add the Airbnb link in the video description if we recommend it if that helps. Thank you again and safe travels!! Cheers!!🍻
Certainly a place on our to go list. Looks like a gorgeous city. How ling are you guys staying at each place this trip? And are you going place to place by train?
We averaged staying 4 nights in each location and traveled mainly by bus from location to location. We will be doing a recap and cost breakdown video to review our 1 month of quicker travel in the next month or so. Thanks so much for watching!!
Hi guys! My wife and I have been following for quite some time now and are glad you made it to Czechia. We have been here since 2019 (some detours due to covid), but are now in Karlovy Vary. Are you two heading this way? It's beautiful up here, and it would be great to meet you. Let us know!
We would have loved to meet you, but we have moved through already. One of the problems that we have with moving so fast is that we miss out on key locations and experiences. We will be back to our slow travel now that we have arrived in Italy. We may be back in the area next year!! Thank you for watching! Cheers!!🍻
We haven't needed to fill prescriptions from home, but have needed other pharmacy items. They are incredibly helpful everywhere we've been so I would forsee any issues unless you have a specific items you need that they don't carry. Cheers 🍻
I just found your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching all of your videos. My wife and I are about the same as you and started our travel journeys. Currently in Mexico, but hope to visit many more countries soon. One thing that would be interesting for you to comment on is how easy is it to get by on only knowing English in all of these various destinations. Do you have to use translator apps a lot? What percentage of people speak English? Etc. Keep up the good work!
Great question! We honestly have had such little issue with language barrier. We use Google translate for the grocery store or menus when needed. But just getting around or needing to communicate we either have found enough English spoken to get by or we make it through with a lot of pointing 🤣. Cheers!!
Original videos vs current, so intrigued what has made y’all want to fast travel vs slow travel? Hope to run into y’all in the future we love a good two thirsty!
Hi! We are only doing a short stretch of fast travel - just about a month and then back to our usual slow travel. We find it's great to travel quicker through some areas that we either can't see ourselves staying for a month or are also a bit out of our price range for a month-long stay. Believe me, we are so excited to get settled into our new place for a longer stretch, fast travel is very fun but also incredibly tiring ☺ Cheers!!
If this is Tuesday, it must be Brno . . . 😀 Gabriel Traveler was just showing the crazy difference in prices between Austria and Hungary for essentially the same train ride (time-wise and the same train). Still would like to see Vienna.
Austria is expensive! We were able to do a day trip from Brno to Vienna, however. We only got a few hours but did have a great experience. That video will be out next week. Thank you for watching!! Cheers!!🍻
Husband and I are planning to take 6 months to travel like you two. I'm curious though, do you move to a different city weekly? Loved this video, and although I don't like beer you two sure make it look tasty! 😊
Hi, thank you for watching!! We typically stay in each location for a month with a series of videos including a monthly cost of living recap. We moved around this last month to see a few places we wouldn't otherwise stay long term. We will be doing a video soon on which we prefer: fast or slow travel. Welcome to our channel and thank you again for watching. ❤
Hey guys, love your videos. We recently stayed in Brno and thought it was just okay. For our interests there wasn't that much to do--though, the labyrinth beneath the vegetable market was cool. For us Prague was definitely far more compelling with the Mala Strana, Prague Castle, Kampa Island, Petrin Hill etc. We stayed at Hotel International also (which we chose after watching your video-great recommendation!), which was great and conveniently located. Unfortunately, we had a HORRIBLE experience at the Stopkova restaurant that you guys ate at. Rudest waiter we ever encountered in all our trips through Europe. We stepped in the door to look at a menu, and he literally ripped the menu out of our hands and threw it down on a table outside and told us we had to view it there. We just left obviously, and went down the street to U Tomana at the recommendation of the people at the hotel--which we highly recommend. Really great food and nice staff. Brno definitely has a slower, more laid back vibe, and is less touristy than Prague. Btw, our son in law knows Brian from his days in Ferndale. I probably shouldn't publish his name here in such a public forum, but he has a twin named John who used to teach P.E. at Ferndale High School, and his wife's name is Jen. 😊 Keep up the great videos! We're actually living in Florence, Italy for the month of October. Unbelievably beautiful here, and definitely a place we resonate with. Cheers!
Yes, what an amazing family!! We have been to a few BBQs together with mutual friends way back in the day!! We would agree that Prague has more to offer than Brno and we loved our time in Florence!! Say hi to the family and thank you for watching our channel!! 😊
Love your vids. We're travelers too, were in Indonesia for 16 months, back in States now leaving for Europe in December (burr, we're from Florida). Which do you like best, Europe or SE Asia??
It is a difficult choice. They are so different from each other. We do enjoy the climate here in Europe over SE Asia. I (Brian) have a daughter in Tampa so understand that the humidity in Florida is similar, but we are from Bellingham WA. just north of Seattle. We don't mind the heat, but the humidity kills us!! Despite that, we will be returning next spring! 🙂 Safe travels!! Cheers!!🍻
I walked a castle wall in Portugal and I was thinking the same thing! There was no railing and at one point I had to walk past two people by skirting the edge of the wall 😬
@@BrianandCarrie I don´t blame you :D. If you ever come round again, check the Brno newly re-descovered underground19th centure water reservoirs... If you check the photos online, it looks amazing..
I like how you guys always seem to end up at some beer joint. 👍I think you should consider another channel that focuses on all the beers around the world you two drink. Day trips are a good thing. If you ever make it back to Greece try a trip to Kalimbaka. You will love the mountaintop monasteries and the hiking. Just be aware the train from Athens breaks down sometimes and then you are stuck on a bus with a driver that needs to keep his eye on the road and not steer with his knee and talking on the phone. 😱

Beautiful views and a beautiful place. Great job! Glad you're having such a good time.
Greetings from Los Angeles
Thank you very much! We are loving our travels through central Europe ☺ Cheers!!
From where you are at you are an easy train ride to Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Prague you name it.
Yes, it's so central to so many easy day or overnight trips! We took advantage of that and headed to one while we were there ☺. Thanks so much for watching - Cheers!!
I'm learning that I really like the second cities in these European countries. Great videos. See you on the road in a few years.
I live in a second city. It’s more laid back and cheaper than the capital, but large enough to have everything you need. 😀
Czech Beer is awesome! So, it wasn't 2 thirsty, it was more like 2 earlsty....LOL! Hope you've had a great trip, I'm heading that way myself next week!
HAHA!! Yes, maybe a little too early for too thirsty!! 😆 Thank you for watching and commenting!!
Cheers!!🍻
Cheers 🍻
Thank you. This is a funny reality especially when one needs relief. That's when we stop leisurely walking & start running.😂😂😂😂
Excellent video once again! Could those skies be any bluer for your videos? I think not! 😍
Brian looked pretty intent peering into that telescope. I bet he was scoping out all the beer places there. 🤣😂
Loved the shot of the bird statue in the fountain with a real bird sitting next to it.
Safe travels. Looking forward to seeing your video from Vienna.
As always thank you so much for watching and commenting! We appreciate the continued support. And yes, we found a great spot peering into the telescope! 😆
Cheers!!🍻
Cheers!!🍻
I expect lots of under 35s would know Seattle from grunge bands
@@BrianandCarrie And then you have some educated Czechs who know that Seattle is that town not faraway from well known Bellingham. :-)
Great work. We are about 3 weeks behind you guys. Going to Lviv, Brno, Prague.
Guys, you did an amazing job. Really good shots of the best spots. Really appreciate it! Carrie is really knowledgeable about all the facts 👍
Born and raised in Brno. It is the coolest city in Czechia. There is no vibe like that in the country. Very laid back and good people too.
Great central location in the region - close to the Alps in Austria, close to the Adriatic sea in Slovenia/Croatia, close to Vienna and Budapest.

We had a great time in Brno! It is the perfect launch point to move around central Europe!
Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the informative video!
Thank you for watching!!
Cheers!!🍻
Brno looks amazing....you will love Prague and Vienna, so much to see, it's incredible. Cheers from your fellow Midlife Travel Bugs 🍺
Thank you for watching guys!!!
Cheers!!🍻
loved it!! keep up the great work!
Thank you! Will do!
I’m definitely adopting your beer time rule… or maybe I always had a rule like that but now feel justified 😂
This city looks amazing.
Thank you for watching our channel! We loved our time in Poland as well. ❤
@@BrianandCarrie Thank You for answer 😊 I'm glad that you visited my country, Poland. What places and what cities did you visit in Poland?
We didn't have much time, but we spent a few days each in Krakow and Wroclaw. We did a video on each of them. We hope to get up to Gdansk someday.
Thats awesome!! I'm excited for the season to start!!
Always looking forward to your videos! Czech Republic is on my list of places I want to visit next. May I ask which airport you flew into, as it seems you didn't fly into Prague. Thanks!
Hi! We flew into Krakow and then have been traveling by bus which is very easy. Thanks so much for watching. Cheers!!
Looks beautiful. I can't wait for Vienna video, we have 2 days there in November.
Hi 👋. That's a area we haven't traveled yet... It's on the list though. Thanks so much for watching and safe continued travels.
Looks like a gorgeous place and the prices look great too!
It really is! Cheers 🍻
Cheers!!🍻
Have fun! @@BrianandCarrie
super, I am living in Brno....
We loved our time in Brno - you live in a beautiful city. Cheers!!
Glad I found this. I have a 3 week long business trip Brno coming up soon.
Awesome!! Great place for a business trip! Thank you for watching our channel and safe travels!
Cheers!!🍻
Great work on the video really enjoyed it,love the look at the watch for 2 thirsty 😅
Do they just leave those chairs out for everyone. Oh did Bryan test the guard rail before
We just got lucky with the chairs, what a great spot!! Thank you for watching!
Cheers!!🍻
Thank you for the recommendation!! We found it in Italy!! Delissios!!
@@BrianandCarrie Oh great! I was hoping you'd do that kind of video.
Beers for brunch? Absolutely, why not! Too funny! Cheers 🍻
Always a good time for a cold one 😂😂
Cheers!!🍻
This walk around Brno was sponsored by the Czech brewing industry! Cheers! I'm just jealous!
HAHA!! We could only wish for such a sponsor!! 😄
Great work as usual! Wondering how it's been getting prescriptions filled (if you take them.) Thanks!
Cheers!!
We cannt wait too visit here September after watching you guys fitting in few more city in around it
You'll love it! We really hope to make it back to see so much more.
Highest beer drinking country per capita 😁 I am assuming you are going to enjoy it!
Enjoying it very much!!
@@BrianandCarrie thank you for responding! I'm staying tuned!
Cheers!!🍻
Brno. The largest village on The World!🙌
Gotta hit up schonbrun palace, the gardens and grounds are amazing, Vienna’s version of Versailles
Thank you for the suggestion -we will have to add that to the list for next time. Cheers 🍻
I walked a castle wall in Portugal and I was thinking the same thing! There was no railing and at one point I had to walk past two people by skirting the edge of the wall 😬
Right!?! One false move and your dead!! 😬
It´s standard here to have your own blanket/comforter. :)
I LOVE this about Czech Republic ♥ ☺
Another channel?!? We can barely stay on top of this one!! 😄 But, that is a great idea! 🤔 Thank you for watching and commenting, William!
Cheers!!🍻
What no brewery tour in the Czech Republic?😊 Too much head on that beer though.
HAHA!! You will learn more about Czech beer in an upcoming video! Stay tuned!! 😃
Cheers!!🍻
I remember the beer (pilsner) is cheap and good in Czech!
It was so good - Cheers 🍻
Every trip I make a photo I call, "the view from my beer." Yours would qualify!
Love that, great idea!! 😆
Love the 911 room number!😜
Pairing food with beer is much than pairing wine with food! 😂
Hi, Jeff! I have actually been to beer-pairing events, and they are fun!! We will be in Italy soon and looking forward to the wine as well. Thank you for watching!!
Cheers!!🍻
No hand railing? It’s called natural selection 😊
Yeah, I don't want to be the one selected!! 😆 Thanks for watching!!
Cheers!!🍻
If I see a street performer and I really like their stuff I always tip them and if they are selling music I do buy it.
