@@ikappii6393 It really is. He was independent before it was cool to be independent. I'm pretty sure, Master P, ICP and Tech did it before, just about, everyone else did. I could be partly wrong... All are legends in my book. Tech N9ne is definitely in my top 5.
As you listen to more Tech N9ne, you'll soon see why he is respected by Wayne, Em, Kendrick, Cole, Joyner, and Logic. Tech has been around that long..I've been a strange music fan (Tech's independent label) for years. His discography is lengthy but man, Tech can do it all. Hopefully you'll also check out King iso and some of the others from his label cause they're good too. Tech has done songs with so many legends even tupac! Plus all these legends respect him.. he also painted the blue print for Independent artists too, lot of them get advice from Tech and go by that blueprint.
Especially ISO. Autophobia and dementia are killer.
Barely started listening to Tech 9. It isn't just rappers that respect him. I'm a white boy that grew up a metal head, and even metal heads like Corey Taylor have collaborated with him. A genius in his own right.

I'm from KC and have been listening to him since I was in high school. I am almost 40. Lol! Try his old stuff to see where he came from. He puts lots of KC references in his music to show our city love.
I remember when he was riding around KC in his Anghellic wrapped van promoting his album. I worked at QT and he would come in and was the most down to earth person you could ever imagine. Dude is humble af.
I love how he sat behind home plate during the world series repping his city. And he got to do the into for the chiefs game. That's some hometown love right there.

Its cool to see people discovering Tech in 2020. Been a fan since Anghellic and even back then could tell Tech would become a legend. Enjoy going through his discography and his journey man, its a hell of a ride.
You would enjoy fragile, also red nose is a good intro song to him. He has some dark songs that dig into his personal life like show me a God and wither featuring corey Taylor as well.
He did a song with Tupac that is good, not the greatest representation of him as he was still young and learning how to count bars and write that way. Back in the 80s and early 90s he would just rap until he felt like he was done and didn't structure it like he does since.
The dark songs are so good, "higher power" " I can paint a dark picture" the entire K.O.D. album, his collabs with brotha Lynch

i like alot of ems older music but most of his newer stuff im not a fan of really. to many disses and him just trying to show that he can rap fast but doesnt tell story's like he used to with alot of his music. godzilla yeah its fast but i honestly cant stand that song lol. tech on the other hand just has the ability to be very fast but the cadence and flow he has just makes it alot more sonically pleasing. atleast to me. not saying em isnt good at all either he is one of the best but i just think tech is on a whole differnent level especially with his lyricism

@@jkorn3478 King ISO was on Twisted's crew (Brain) but felt unappreciated. He started hanging with Strange where they did appreciate his craft and Twisted acted like a bitch. ISO has a video explaining the whole thing.
Twiztid insane told everybody at Brain that he got an offer from Tech and Travis. But Iso asked tech about it and tech told him that they never offered Twistid. So iso confronted him and thats why they fell out.

So back story to this song, he's saying he can make you other rappers outdone by getting on a track with him. The names he put out there about the top spot before the beat drop were giving a nod but saying yo my name needs to be there with them too. If I aint in your top 5 or 10 talks you need to redo that list.
He was referring to twisted insane when he said stuff about the credit score and from that point on. Twisted insanes real name is Michael Johnson so when he said I know Michael johnson is one of the fastest rappers in the game but thats not what I'm here for im here for rocking the mic... the beef with twisted insane was due to tech n9ne signing king iso a rapper formerly signed to twisted insanes label and there was a small bout with king iso and twisted insane and twisted felt tech sided with king iso so he made a song or two dissing tech n9ne in those regards.
33 been on Tech since jr high... Back in those days. Real underground, personal, spiritual, dark, raw and real talent no Industry cookie cut BS. Just love for what he does and you can pretty much bank on every song being deep or having multiple layers or meanings.

He speaks on a situation and Another with Keisha Cole 3) if you didn't notice, there were no drums...his voice was the percussion
