Stephanie you are lucky that that thorn didn’t do more damage to your foot. I know you said you want to be comfortable but your feet are so important. Please wear proper farm shoes. Please. ❤
I remember when we first moved to our home with its little bit of woods. The first time we used our garden cart behind our garden tractor, we got a 4-5 inch thorn through the tire on the cart. I took it to the local tire place and told them it was a thorn. They didn't believe me until they got it out and fixed the tire. I have gotten a few through my athletic shoes. They will come in on the arch side of a leather shoe, too. The only choice is to keep cutting those trees and burning the branches. The kids could make piles and rake paths, 15-30 min per day all summer. It would start to make a dent in the hazards.
Pick a spot and put up a 40 by 40 permanent fence for your garden . Run a permanent water system in and then grow a garden.put in a gate for everyone to go in and out and one for the tractor. These little plastic fence are not good and the animals are always getting out
Once again I am so impressed with the way your kids jump in and help with all your chores.

Yayyy I can leave a comment !!! 😃😄 Brandon and Stephanie I love the way yall are bringing up your children. Back in the 70's when I was youngin my parents did the same thing. Not as much as y'all do but we were taught the good Ole family values and what it means to help parents out. There is so much technology and electronics in the world today that (most) children now don't know what it's like to lend a hand or do yard work or anything of the sort. Every time I see y'all working with this fence I remember a comment I read that had you might as well use toothpicks but I'll have to say this fence is working like a charm for y'all. Bless your heart Stephanie I hope your foot is okay I had a roofing nail go through the sole of my shoe and into my foot didn't know what I stepped on until I pulled it out of my shoe. Thank y'all for sharing part of your day with us I enjoyed it. God's blessings to each one of you.

We had electric fence around our 5 acres. That fencing was not around. T post for 10 feet 4x4 then T post… My dad had a pot hole digger his daughters and wife. We got it done. Just a bit at a time. The 4x4 helped the horse see the fence line. Hanging strips of cloth helped too the wire was thin back then. Keep up the great work Brandon and Family❤

We had horses and ponies when I was a kid. One Sunday, each month, there was a rodeo in our area. Friends were riding and getting bruised, just to return the next month! I remember wanting a cowboy hat!
