Great piece of work! I especially like how you develop the movement and wrinkle lines early in the process. I'm curious, how do you determine when it's time to put down the chainsaw and move to hand tools?
Thks for your support🙏 as far as how I determine when to stop with the chainsaw...most of the time it's just about removing as much wood as possible and getting as much detail as possible with the saw the point I stop is when detail are to small to get with saw and hand tools more efficient in this case I probably could of done more with saw but it was starting to get dark outside and gasoline saws should not be used indoors for obvious reasons and to use battery would of made more of a mess inside than chisel chips so in this case I was under time constraints did not want to wait another day to use saw so got started right away on bench work with hand tools...but in summer longer days...I get remove as much as possible with saw etc. It is a time saver but does replace quality of the hand Carved surface I durive with traditional knives and chisels etc.
that is Just awesome! Inspiring! il curious as To how man hours that might take you and aprox monetary value? it would probably take me à month... maybe 150 hours...and thé quality...would maybe make it worth....maybe, maybe...à few hundred.... yours...i dont know.... you dont have to answer obviously im being a little intrusive...forgive my curiousity....thanks again! much appreciated!
