Hot take my friend, you're so right. The Browns are a great example. Had a dynasty in the AAFC and 50s/60s but today, no one other than diehard CLE fans know how good they were back in the day. That goes for other teams as well. You rock! 😎
I would like to say that these videos are extremely helpful. Personally, I don’t know much sports, and I want to fit in. These videos are perfect for beginners.. Thank You!!
Very cool video! I did one of every nfl champion from 1920-2020. I like the addition of the AFL and NFL champions from 1966-1969. So much lost history in football
I remember seeing that video, well done! Thank you for the kind words and for watching. You're right, there's a lot of history that the average NFL fan doesn't really know about. Crazy to see how the League has grown since then!
I would say not really. I feel people would only say that because their team with no titles have won at least an NFL or AFL championship lol. Or ones that have a ton of titles like Packers and bears.
It should be noted that yes, while the pre-Super Bowl championships count as much as the Super Bowl, after the NFL and AFL - which started in 1960 - agreed to merge, the "NFL championship game" essentially became the modern NFC championship game. The first Super Bowl was played after the 1966 season, and by then no one really cared about or wanted the old Thorp trophy. The Packers just kept it and never gave it to the Colts or Vikings probably because neither team wanted it or asked for it.
Man great catch Henry! I noticed another spelling error recently on this one which is the year 1923 has 1924. This is frustrating because I view these stat intensive videos multiple times and I still come up short, lol. Thanks for letting me know! Hope you enjoyed the video :)
One small error: the 1964 championship by the Browns franchise linearly was the last one UNTIL 2001. Ravens are the old Browns. The new Browns are an expansion team
no, the Browns retained their old history. The NFL honored that, and made the Ravens an expansion team, with no ties with the Browns. Fans don't determine this. The individual franchises, and the NFL make the decisions.
@@ksroadrunner except you can't change the fact they are. The players and personnel are the same. Calling them an expansion team makes no sense and skewers the stats. Fans can feel "oh it's still our team" bt the Browns formed in 1999 are a completely different entity
@@k-dawgbroadcasting5444it doesn't matter whether it makes sense to you, or not. You don't make the rules. The NFL gave the Browns organization the permission to keep their records prior to 1995. It's not really a debate. The Browns had the option to become the Ravens, and they chose not to. It's up to them, and the NFL.
actually, it's the other way around, quite a few early pro football teams were named after pro baseball teams in the same city, such as the NY Giants which were named after MLB's NY Giants that since moved to San Francisco, or the Chicago Staleys that were renamed and because they originally played in the same stadium as MLB's Cubs and because football players were taller than baseball players, the owner at the time renamed them the Bears
Took 70 years for the Rams to win championship as Los Angeles based team and one interesting fact that the head coach for the browns was the founder of bengals.
With all of the 32 NFL teams origins being displayed, what's a cool fun fact that you learned about your favorite NFL team from this video?
The NFL still recognizes the NFL and AFL championships games thru the AFC NFC Championship Games
I like to consider these the forgotten championships because so many people now don’t appreciate the past

It’s funny how much Cleveland and Detroit play in the fifties

Don’t forget that these championships count as much as Super Bowls
@Bubbs oh packers fans are with me
Yeah but at least they are something (I’m a Vikings fan lol)
They kinda don’t
@@filmnationstudios389 they do a little bit. Not much but better than nothing.

? Doing any videos on the CFL
That's a great suggestion. Gonna have to look into making one for you're not the only person who's suggested one. You rock!
Just wanted to point something out I think you accidentally put super bowl 13 in the final picture instead of the first title game

Dude the bears where a dynasty back in the day.
I never knew a football team were called the New York Yankess. That’s explains why New York name a baseball team that

Do MLS
Just started working on it today! Last Champions video before I get back to doing Sports 101, 2 Minute Drills and HTB!
So it is the bears that are the first champions not the packers !? 😕
Bears & Packers we’re definitely rivals back in the day
the Akron pros are credit with first ever championship
Wait what The Lions won a NFL championship
Yes Virginia....there was football before the superbowl...lol
Moore David Perez Nancy Martin Nancy
Providence steam rollers lol
It’s not even steam rollers it’s steam roller but I think it was too embarrassing to say that name cuz it is so stupid

I think you meant the Rams took 70 years to win a SECOND championship as LA based team?? Because they did win one in 1951.
This fake browns have not one a super bowl
Browns have went to the NFL Championship 6 times in a row. They definitely were better than 2000s Patriots
