@@E46SedanGaming Of course. It’s a Toyota. But the new Toyota’s with the Turbo engines simply won’t last as long as a Naturally Aspirated engine. We were going to wait until the 26-27 year model of the Tacoma so the bugs could get worked out from the redesigned Tacoma. I went ahead and bought Bronze wheels. The Tacoma Trail’s grill is grey with Bronze / Gold TACOMA lettering, so I’ll be buying that down the road. I immediately installed a cold air intake and then I had the OTT installed. My truck came with the TRD Performance exhaust, but I love the sound of the AWE dual exhaust system, so that’ll be installed around Christmas. Because we take my truck on Forest and Service roads in the summer months and because of the amount of snow we get in the winter, my truck is usually in 4WD for most of the winter. I change the front and rear differentials, transfer case and transmission fluid every 30K miles. I’m sure that when I’m dead and gone my wife will still be using my Tacoma to plow the 5-7 feet of snow off of our private road during the winter months. Since Chrysler has always been the most "financially challenged/strapped.....aka: poorest" of the domestic three, the weird must have been their way to draw in potential customers.

The AMC Eagle was actually an amazing vehicle. Ahead of its time, great dependability, and a fairly good looking vehicle for its era. Great for the road, or off road.
The AMC Eagle also wasn't the first US all-wheel-drive passenger car, that honor belongs to the Four Wheel Drive Auto Company's Battleship from 1906. F.W.D. only built about a dozen cars before they switched to trucks other than the F.W.D Special which raced at Indianapolis in the mid-1930s.
I recently wound up behind a Chrysler Crossfire Convertible, which I thought looked quite unique, dorky, weird but somehow kinda nice. Whenever I think of vehicles like it, I immediately think of that "sporty" convertible Saturn offered near its end. I've always liked the look of those admittedly. I've also always loved the look of the PT and the Prowler.

I find it funny that Chrysler had a pickup model called the Drifter. The RAM SRT-10 is such a gorgeous model of "We will throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks".
Hey man, I've got a weird car... well minivan, I think would be a cool pick for a spot on a video. The 80's Toyota minivan. Not the previa, the one before it. It looks AMAZINGLY similar to a Nissan of the time that didn't come to the US. For decades, I thought that my childhood Transformers toy of Ironhide and his repaint Ratchet, were the toyota van. We had one when I was younger. We drove it from Charlotte NC, to Key West FL many many times. The hood, was literally the driver's seat lol
The Viper SRT 10 was kind of an ironic truck since Chrysler originally designed the V10 as a replacement for the big block 440 in its 3500 Ram pickups.
The 440 was last made in 1978..The 488 V-10 was for a bigger engine than the 5.9 (360) in the 2500/3500 in 1994...The V-10 is a 360 with 2 cyl added on!
I'd really like to own a Prowler one day, but there were only ever a handful of them sent out to Australia, and they are ridiculously expensive - if you can even find one!

And the 90s to early 2000s had a major redesign, yet still very popular. I owed a 1991 wagon. And my wife had a 1999 2 dr.
I remember recently watching a documentary on those Chrysler turbine cars, I was surprised that they looked a lot like the 60s Thunderbirds, and apparently they were pretty cool but too expensive to make I guess some of the people they got those two drive said the mileage was great and also they would go real fast. Apparently though they sounded real strange when they hummed by you.
In '99, I bought a Dakota R/T. Great fast truck. Almost bought the Ram Viper but it had a $5K government impact charge. So I went with the Supercharged Ford Lightning.
I has a Crossfire and loved the way it drove but it had the most uncomfortable seats. I got rid of it in about six months. Despite Jeremy Clarkson's opinion I still like the look of it. Something right out of Dick Tracy
I always loved the look of the Crossfire, I just couldn’t stand the 90s SLK interior with how nice and modern it looked on the outside. If it was updated with a newer interior I would have definitely bought one.
The only problem with the prowler was the lack of a v8 or v10 option. Had that been the case, it would have probably seen a hellcat like reception. A built 360 magnum or a viper engine in a small car like that would have been insane! Even adding 2 cylinders to the 3.5L would have been much better. granted, the 3.5l wasn't a slouch, but it really needed a v8.
Thanks for the nice video. Regarding your comment that Plymouth was the highest aluminium use car to that day, doesn't Honda NSX predate the Prowler with an all-aluminium body?
When I was a kid growing up there was someone that lived around me in canada that had the AMC eagle station wagon. The guy didn't drive it much always had it parked with a cover over it but you can still tell it was an eagle by how it stood.
My father once owned a 2001 & a 2009 PT Cruiser (not at the same time though) and enjoyed it driving up until he had it replaced by the '09 model which by the way it still runs & drives by my mom.

I owed a 1991 wagon. And my wife had a 1999 2 dr.
I love the Ram SRT10. Checked all the right boxes. Bigass n/a engine, manual trans, rwd, big brakes, cool paint job, usable bed. Honestly the i
I remember recently watching a documentary on those Chrysler turbine cars, I was surprised that they looked a lot like the 60s Thunderbirds, and apparently they were pretty cool but too expensive to make I guess some of the people they got those two drive said the mileage was great and also they would go real fast. Apparently though they sounded real strange when they hummed by you.
Amazing the poor braking wasn't mentioned which I always thought was the main tick against them...
Rampage styled cars (vw saveiro and ram 800) are still popular in latin america
Please do a video on the Ford Explorer sport trac pickup
Keep asking.
I really liked the crossfire. I thought it was really sharp when it came out. The mechanical spoiler that pops up is a cool feature
The crossfire is nice imho
1996 Dodge Dakota was the only brand new vehicle I ever bought, 260K when I gave it away in 2007. Loved it!
Saw a Desoto airflow in 2016 pulling a lightweight oxygen travel trailer! Oxygen is the brand name for the TT which was made in Quebec Canada!
Chrysler bought AMC because they wanted Jeep. Chrysler would kill the Eagle brand a few years later
Fitting that now Chrysler faces the same ending.
Love to see a Chrysler TC by Maserati go 185
5:26. Incorrect. In 1990, the resurrected Eagle brand included the Eagle Talon TSi, which was available in 4WD/AWD
Thanks for the video.
Can you do a video on the Nissan sx cars?
The only problem with the prowler was the lack of a v8 or v10 option. Had that been the case, it would have probably seen a hellcat like reception. A built 360 magnum or a viper engine in a small car like that would have been insane! Even adding 2 cylinders to the 3.5L would have been much better. granted, the 3.5l wasn't a slouch, but it really needed a v8.
Thanks for the nice video.
Regarding your comment that Plymouth was the highest aluminium use car to that day, doesn't Honda NSX predate the Prowler with an all-aluminium body?
Rampage/ Scamp most similar to the Volkswagen Rabbit pickup.
And the Rabbit Pickup came out earlier, in 1979. So Chrysler was actually copying off VW for that one.
I still love the prowler. I love the look and always will
When I was a kid growing up there was someone that lived around me in canada that had the AMC eagle station wagon. The guy didn't drive it much always had it parked with a cover over it but you can still tell it was an eagle by how it stood.
You should make videos on Infiniti. Especially the M37, M56 series that evolved into the 2015 through 2019 Q70, Q70S, Q70L & Q70H.
PT Cruiser was one of the best looking cars of all time. These guys are weird.
In Brasil we have the Ram Rampage, a small pickup.
Gr at work. Cheers from canada
15:53 8-step process to start it?!? Lawl. Tho a turbine engine would be pretty cool to drive, at least for a while.
On another note I disagree with you on the Dodge Ram SRT-10... it was and is still COOL!!!
Have you considered doing an Alfa Romeo spider episode?
My father once owned a 2001 & a 2009 PT Cruiser (not at the same time though) and enjoyed it driving up until he had it replaced by the '09 model which by the way it still runs & drives by my mom.
The top wierd Dodge vehicle that deserves resurrection is the Dodge Magnum SRT-8.
