@@vanessakeller4543 I can only speak for myself, but many years ago when I was introduced to Nam myoho renge kyo I was a young adult having been raised as a Christian. So I sincerely, really really sincerely, prayed and told God I was only trying to get closer to the divine and that if what I was doing wrong to understand my heart and my intent. Years later I now know Buddhism does not contradict the teachings of Christ, they complement each other and you will be amazed at the overlap. I think for my journey Buddhism explains the nagging questions I had more fully and has helped me grow as a person. Good luck and may your own journey be fruitful as well as joyful.

I must say Christianity is a beautiful religion and love every aspect of the Bible, however, both Hinduism (Vedic) and Buddhism are not a religion but *a way of life".

Having been raised in a very fundamentalist form of Christianity though I have my issues with the Bible and literal interpretation. Yes, I am aware of the path of Buddhism from India to China and Japan and beyond. True Buddhism imho is naught but reason wherever the country.
Budhism is also Christian. Jesus Christ is also a budha. 😉 So I believe we ca be budhists and Christians at the same time. I am. And I also respect all other religions. Budhism is a filosophy that accepts all religions. All human beings can chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.
I went thru cancer, desertion and abuse. During cancer I listened to this mantra. Suddenly I understood the meaning of peace.Today I have complete recovery and feel complete and happy without any material possession or any demands.Just bieng in the moment and alive is happiness

Today I happened to attend one District program and I listened to NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO for the first time followed by few teachings. The whole day this mantra was ringing in my ears and here I am listening to this when I am to sleep ... May God bless all with this profound chanting experience !
If anyone reads this, keep it up, this is a powerful mantra I found out about it by going to my friends religion class with her (only one time) a lecture class in Hawaii UH manoa. That day there was a guest speaker and he said out of all the things that we can learn, this is the mantra he highly suggested he said it can attract money and sex thanks anonymous speaker at UH manoa in 2019 .

I am chanting to overcome a challenging situation. I worked two full time jobs. I decided to resign from one of the jobs due to a toxic work environment. While adjusting to my one job, I fell behind on my rent and car payments. I am working during my vacation and extra shifts to catch up. I have been working so much - I want peace, happiness and to be able to visit my parents, who have not seen in over 10 years. I have been listening to this mantra every morning for about one year.

I did a decades worth of bone remodeling in one summer. Badly broken knuckle and my wrist. My dog doesn't eat her food unless in less it first. Empty fridge and pantry got 200 dollars in it when my friend Julia randomly stopped by because she "thought I could use the help". Drove way further than is should have been able to; doing this chant when my gas gauge was on E.
