      Currently at 180,000
      I’d give it a 9/10 for reliability.
      Would be a 9.5 but:
OEM thermostat sucks and there’s no aftermarket solution yet. They last 80-120,000 miles
They’re DI only so intake valves NEED to be cleaned every 60-100,000 miles
DO NOT skip out on fluid changes. DIY if you need to, it’s not rocket science.

That is a very nice yellow night edition! I had two GLA45 (yes, I am weird) and a C43 sedan in between them, I definitely prefer the handling and appreciate the practicality of a hatchback over the sedan. C43 sounds awesome but the ride is just softer and the transmission is slower to engage (it also comes with lots of interior rattling noise free of charge!). GLA45 feels jerky in the city, especially in the stop-and-go situation but once it picks up the speed, the shifting is lightning fast. Your car is stage 2 tuned so I can imagine how fun it is to drive. The newer generation GLA45 looks and drives like an SUV, making the 1st gen more appealing to some people like me. 1st gen's height is right between A45 and the latest generation GLA45 which IMHO is the perfect height for a hatchback (the A45 is just too low to get in and out without hurting your head). Have fun driving your pocket rocket, and be safe on the road!

Yeah I loved mine. The sound is on point. I had a 2017. Literally my favourite sounding AMG for cheap thrills. Having owned that and a 6.2l, 5.5l and 4.0l (none with DPF) amg and none of them had that in cabin smile inducing rally car sound. And given it is 4cl it sounds so good because it revs so fast and you can access the sound all the time. I've just stuck on an IPE exhaust on my e63 and I still have to open windows or turn off music completely to enjoy the sound..the gla did that all with the windows closed.
It handles like a rally car too. Such a lovely thing the gla❤
Fair enough it lacks v8 amg torque but its a tiny compromise

Couldn't agree more! The sound is definitely no v8, but it has a sharp "rally"ness sound with a nice exhaust. What are you driving now? Thinking about possible next cars and would love some recommendations.

@Always Auto thanks , I went from gla45 to C63s wagon, with e46 m3 commuter car which I replaced with a w211 e63. Finally ended up with a large family car w212 e63s a couple years ago and then saw a 'cheap' 645ci convertible that I picked up as a commuter a week ago but its looking like a potential lemon. Fingers crossed its okay but I'm not sure.
I'd probably stick with the GLA 45. The bigger mercs tend to lose the cabin noise and are bigger and heavier. Perhaps a pre facelift w212 e63 (6.2l) as a good next car because it has that special engine and the chassis of the 212 is excellent and they're not as popular as the w204 c63 so you could land a real bargain

@@andyp8464 Thanks! Yeah it has definitely been difficult to think of a better car for the price than the 45. 63 isn't a bad option but thinking about a newer car, might wait it out and go with a g80...

I just picked up a 2015 gla 45 with 87k on it, had it for a few months and I love it so far, do you happen to have any links for the tune you used if it fits a 2015 as well? Thank you!

@Always Auto I picked it up yesterday! It's so much fun lol but it's my wife's car. My daily is a 2022 model 3 long range. I think I might swap cars with her for a week 🤣🤷‍♂️

If you can get the updated one with 381/375 hp the transmission etc is all fully updated on the models released after some point in 2016 (you don't need the official face lift but get the 381hp pre-facelift version as they improved it over the original )
