  • As the arranger / music producer of an upcoming show by Don Powell - "Night and Day" (about the music and life of Cole Porter), I invite you to an editing session for the song "I'm Throwing A Ball Tonight".
    The recording is being done in stages:
    We finished tracking the rhythm section, percussion, trumpets, trombones and saxes.
    Next - we’ll track woodwinds, French horns, strings and harp.
    Stay tuned!

    Thank you Adi for your videos!! Hope you'll notice that in the min 15:50 the saxes on the 3rd beat still ahead in relation to the score, but the anticipation fits well! Cheers!!

    Great stuff. Just discovered your channel and enjoying the arranging lessons. Having spent 20+ years editing audio in DP may I suggest when editing a hit that's longer than the rest you grab the separated bite with the hand grabber on the right side edit and shorten the bite itself to match the rest so you keep the entire note and don't have to fade out.

    I'm in the middle of a remote recording project with my community band and I have been doing A LOT of clean up in the DAW. It's great to see that there's no shame in that game. Even the pros edit their horns!

      Jeremy, you made a great point about “no shame in the game”. The technology available made editing parts become a normal part of music production and the circumstances dictate how much to rely on it. I chose to make a video on the subject for that reason.

    Hi Adi, great stuff. Keep up the good work. What's the arrangement in the introduction?

    Thanks, Adi! It's great to see your score and behind the scenes of the recording/editing process. Does moving sections of the individual tracks create any phasing issues with the stereo room mic tracks or the bleed from the other close mics?

    • @AdiYeshaya
      @AdiYeshaya  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Steve! You raised a great point that will be re-visited (I’m sure) during the mix. My ears didn’t detect an issue there and the stereo pairs are still an option. I’m curious myself to find out the outcome.

    I'm really saddened that your channel isn't getting that much of recognition because that might back you from uploading more and that's a huge loss for this community because your content is so valuable and unique.. many greetings from baghdad to you♥️

      Hi, thanks so much for the nice feedback! Yes, I’m working on a couple new clips but was slowed down by a chain of musical projects. They will be coming soon.
