Glad to see you pronouncing Ralph Lauren correctly. Remember seeing an interview with him years ago, and he even corrected the interviewer and told her, "I'm an American who was born and raised in NY, why does everyone want to give my name a French pronunciation?" Anyway, if anyone is interested in an even deeper dive, should check out the documentary, Very Ralph. Nice video you did. Been rocking Polo since the 80s, and even though I am 50 now, it's a brand that has always been a staple in my closet.
Much love, brother! I’m in my 50’s and I remember the first time I saw Polo. I was living in Northern California near San Francisco and my mother loved to shop at Emporium Capwell. When I saw those Polo shirts stacked in a rainbow of assorted colors and the little embroidered Polo Player, I was stoked! I was 7 years old and I had to have one! Eventually, by the time I was in 5th grade I had white and khaki Polo trousers and a few Polo short sleeved Polo shirts! This man made me really happy with looking good and smelling good at a young age! I would tear out all the Polo ads from my mom’s Vogue magazines and my dad’s GQ magazines and my bedroom walls were plastered with Polo. To this day, I literally have hundreds of Polo pieces in my wardrobe and I can’t go a day without wearing at least one Polo article of clothing! I absolutely love this guy, Ralph Lauren! Imagine a kid from the Bronx of NYC dreaming a dream and building it to a reality. It’s just the greatest story of a guy that made his dream possible! Ralph Lauren is very inspirational to me!

Bought my first Polo tie in '67 or '68. And, yes, I am that old.
