Here's how I made the gloves for Beidou! 🧤 All based on a simple trace of my hand, just like in kindergarden haha. Fabric is black stretch pleather. Turned out super comfy! Any questions? 😁

I wish I had the money to get these machines to help make cosplays! The old fashioned way here I go!

You can find fairly cheap older machines that are in excellent & working order at sewing machine repair shops, and sometimes goodwill and other thrift stores if you're lucky! I got mine for $150 from a repair shop and came across another older model at a goodwill for around $30 the other day that im sorta regretting not bringing home despite not needing another one 😅
As long as you're on top of yearly tune ups, like with any machine, itll last you a lifetime
Start with cheap ones or used ones also you don't need super complicated ones if you starting out maybe older or smaller machines once you get money or experience then start collecting better ones.
Handsewing is almost free
The best part of cosplaying is that you know every detail about their costumes and styles, same goes with doing art. I remember making a detailed Chongyun drawing and now his costume does make sense for me
would love to see a full length vid on just the glove portion before the accent pieces were added. cant make out the pieces that were initially sewn together

Question, wich glue do you use for these stretchy fabrics? And does it hold longer than two days or sew you them on after you glued them?

only thing that's bothering me is the fact that none of golden lether details are stitched (i understand that there are maybe no stitching on 3d models of a character but i think it's because of the fact that it would be ridiculously small, and i also understand that it would be very time-consuming to stitch all of that but also, the glue isn't the thing that i personally would rely on in this situation)

You should make a playlist of all your creations for Beidous and show it all in final result
I had an art request/commission once to draw a genshin character, all of the little details were a nightmare! But the outfits are just so cool and all have a signature flair to them that makes them all cohesive. I don't play the game and doubt I ever will but I can appreciate the gorgeous character design!
This is so helpful! I started making my Beidou cosplay last year and couldn't find any tutorials then. So i love to see this resource. I have the gloves and boots left to make. So I hope you'll do a video on the boots too! Looking forward to more videos :D

I used this exact method to make my Croix from Ar Tonelico 2 gloves! Red wrist gloves and then black opera length gauntlets so I could take them off to use my phone etc. Tbh his battle gear is less armor and more ballgown.
