So good to see you taking long flights again. I love how you confided that you were emotional at takeoff. There is something very emotional about flying. The footage and music of Namibia gave me goosebumps! Can't wait.
Have never been to Concorde Room but many years ago my wife and I were in a very quiet BA Business Class lounge at Heathrow on a Sunday morning. We had seats adjacent to the excellent views across the apron. Returning from a shower I noted one other passenger in the lounge who had chosen to sit very close despite the empty spaces, rather ruining our privacy. With hindsight realised the seat he was in was a unique corner with walls on 2 sides so with a large newspaper open and strategically aligned you would not see who it was unless standing nearby…..as I was. By the way the other passenger was the film star Hugh Grant !
British Airways is the only airline I use to and from East Africa - 27 years now. I just really love this airline. I am so happy you are flying to all of these incredible places again. I can't wait!! The music you chose for the end of this video was just beautiful!! Safe travels!!
I worked on T5 in 2005 and remember walking across the enormous building site with my hard hat and yellow work boots and stopped where you’re filming the Concorde lounge. I was only a tech clerk but got to see Concorde flying through 2003 and then take its last flight - all from the portacabin on site. The noise made my coffee cup rumble on the desk each morning. Such an exciting time. I got to see Europe’s longest escalator installed and walk the length of T5 when it was just a concrete shell with a marvellous roof. I still have the opening ceremony paperweight on my desk. I really miss it all, thank you for sharing.
The end of this video made me want to cry. I so feel for this planet. Thank you for an enjoyable and informative flight. I have flown British Airways, but not first class. I have never been to the Concorde lounge. In general I like Heathrow and all things British for their efficiency and order. This could be in part because I am of English descent, partially, and their ways make sense to me, are familiar. Your videos are treasures.
I can’t begin to tell you, that not only was the video of the flight amazing and wonderful but the ENDING. When I say that the imagery, the music, the content, it hit me right in my soul. The spirit of Africa, the sunsets, hot air balloon and the glorious animals and nature. Wow what an ending. Life is so beautiful. I’m so thankful.
On return trip from Londong to NYC's JFK I was upgraded to first class. I was able to enjoy the comforts of BA Concorde Lounge. It was wonderful to be treated with civility. Flying should always be first class. If I could, I would only travel first class to any and all destinations. It was an experience I will not soon forget.
The first time I flew first class was when I was 24. We flew from Seattle, WA to London on British Airways ! I was amazed on the service, food and the big leather seats! I received socks and a shaving kit. When I fly coach I receive a bag of nuts.
I had the fortune of enjoying the beauty and comfort of the Concorde BA Lounge in Heathrow on my way to San Francisco. I felt pampered and excited to be part of the BA First Class world. Thank you BA for all your accomplishments,
The lounge looked very nice!! So I expected a bit ' more ' of a first class seat. I'm very glad you listed your menu choices. But, I'd also like to know if you enjoyed your meal! 😃 Your music selection is always wonderful ... thank you! The landing was really smoothe ... always a plus!! Congratulations, dear LTE, on your near 1 million followers!! Amazing feat and a great testimony to your talent!!!
Obviously I love the whole thing because this is the sort of stuff I geek out about, but the last three minutes of this absolutely got to me in a major way. What scenes and images. Just incredible footage. It isn't only the soaring, dramatic music (which doesn't hurt, to be fair). It's the place, the textures and those browns and blues, and the regal, magnificent animals you have for company. I cannot wait to see more. Well shot, mate. Thanks for all this, and safe traveling to you.
I used to watch a variety of travel vlogs, but I'm down to yours only. I appreciate the way you present them without injecting too much of yourself into the telling. I find many of these travel "personalities" to be either annoying or arrogant. Very excited for the Namibia footage! Thank you for doing such a beautiful job!
Those Namibian clips at the end gave me the thrills! 😫 Can’t wait for when I’d be able to afford traveling and I know it’s sooner than later on GOD! Africa is so beautiful! ✨
Congratulations on your followers milestone, Doctor. It is a testament to the outstanding quality of your videos. By far the best produced works on TH-cam. Excellent work! Cheers 🥂

I have an interview for a private jet rental company on Tuesday. I applied way back in early December and didn't hear anything until yesterday, hours after my boss's boss I've only said 20 words to all week fired me at the start of my fifth day there. I'm hoping the timing of their call back and this video are good signs of what's to come. It'll be my most nerve-wracking interview ever because I've never been unemployed without already having something else lined up. Wish me luck! I've always had an interest in luxury travel and really want this opportunity.
@@kandikidzora Nightcore is any kind of music sped up. Speeding up EDM is popular but I make metal nightcore on my channel :) Thank you for the luck! I'll have my second interview tomorrow!

One more outstanding Flight Report but the last 3 minutes from Namibia.....I had tears in my eyes..😭. What a BREATHTAKING scenery!☀️😎😍 I can't wait to see more of it!👏
It must have been quite surreal and emotional after almost two years without long overhaul travel. Hope to see more of them as the world situation gradually improves.
I flew BA first class from Toronto to London a few years ago. I’m pretty sure I was the first person on the plane which was good because that night the boarding Computer kept crashing. It took two hours to get all the passengers on the plane. That said I was perfectly content in my pod seat while I waited. The thing I remember most though was the professionalism and the amazing service the flight crew provided that night.
It's not bad at all, but honestly not impressed. Emirates, Qatar and Singapore have had truly raise the bar for First Class. If this was a new business class, I'd be very impressed.
Exactly my sentiment! I am a frequent flier to Asia, usually with Cathay Pacific in Business Class. These are the same seats, same narrow footrest. Comes but with a different price tag I strongly assume.
I have flown BA First dozens of times and have never been dissapointed. I feel safe flying with them and love the onboard service and product. I feel the First experience has improved considerably with the addition of a door, thus making the seat much more private. All of the airlines you mention above are State Government funded and therefore have that financial stability to fall back on which will naturally affect the customer's experience. I have flown with all of them and disliked them in comparison to BA for various reasons but overall because BA is British and (I feel), is a good representative of the UK. Middle eastern airlines have many multi nationals from all over the world so I feel you do not get an authentic national experience with them. Singaporean crew are far too subserviant in my opinion and I find that concerning as you need crew who are assertive in emergency situations. The airlines you mentioned have good hard products but are not for me.
I just flew QSuites with Qatar airways , a business class that seems equal to BA first . That is how far BA is behind . The TV screen is considerably,y smaller in BA first than Qatar QSuites .
@@gw2078 considering QSuites has a door ( in business ) , it shows how far behind BA is. Not just with emirates, Qatar or Singapore but also with Air France or Lufthansa first class . Flew five years ago with BA long haul in business class and it was shockingly bad . Poor food , poor lay out , no privacy , 8 rows next to each other . They upgraded in the mean time but still way behind .
@@wengelder9256 The New BA Club World Suites have a door as do the new BA First Suites. These have not yet been rolled out fleet wide however. Not all Qatar aircraft have the new QSuites and therefore not all Qatar Business seats have doors. We will all have our preferences of carrier for various reasons and most of us will recall bad and good experiences with certain carriers for whatever reason. It sounds like you flew, (five years ago), on the Club World that is gradually being phased out. These cabins have their good and bad seats like most carriers but if you choose wisely you can get a very private seat. I prefer the new suites with doors however and no matter what cabin you fly in and with what carrier, the crew can make or break your flight.
Many years ago my wife and I were upgraded from Economy to Business Class flying in a BA 747 from Toronto to Heathrow. Unfortunately it was at a time when smoking was allowed, but never-the-less the experience was welcome. (A number of years later we were upgraded from Economy to Business Class on an Emirates 777 flight from Dubai to Manchester and that experience, and service, was far more pleasurable.)
Awesome video as always! I have been fortunate to fly BA a number of times, usually on long haul to/from America. I agree with your overall assessment: Excellent service/product in First, but still felt a lot like Business class. (to be fair, the one time we flew F we were burning a ton of AAdvantage miles before one of their previous devaluations hit). And similar to your comments, the Concorde Room was a heck of a treat. We very much enjoyed the time there. Outside of the Concorde Room, however, I can't say I see a justification to spend the huge amount of extra money to jump from BA Business into First. Looking forward to the next videos though! The scenery out there looks epic!
Flew home from Singapore with BA in Club World just before the pandemic struck. Flight time14 hours 10 minutes. Loved every minute of it. Even the 7 hours I slept for. Crew were amazing. I don’t understand all the flack BA get. Try that amount of time on an American carrier……………..
Every time I watch one of your videos on air travel I'm always thinking of my brother. He worked for American Airlines. He's been gone now for 19 years, died at the very young age of 46. He would have enjoyed your videos. Ironically, his son works for Boeing. Different field but same business.
I first visited the Concorde Room on January 24, 1991 when I flew Concorde to Washington/Miami during the Gulf War. It was absolutely fabulous, especially since I had arrived from Baghdad early that morning. There were only seven other passengers on the plane…and naturally the onboard service was spectacular. I have flown Concorde seven times since, mostly from my home in Paris, but the Concorde Room and that 1991 flight remains the most memorable.
Yes, I have flown British Airways. Alas, I was in an economy seat which was not the most comfortable seat. But, for economy, the service was good, the staff very friendly - no complaints.
I wish you a speedy flight to1 million. I get huge joy from your work. It is a visual art and nobody does it better than you. This is simply brilliant, no frills, wonderfully shot and edited, honest nd takes your viewer to places the vast majority of us can only dream of. I am so grateful for your generosity . I very much wish you and your family health and happiness for the future. THANK YOU
wow! How great is this video. I can not wait for the next. The way you are filming is calming and great! I follow you for a while now and I really like it. Greetings, Kim (The Netherlands)
Well I've finally gotten a glimpse of first class with British Airways lol. I love how you show everything in detail, the music you use, it makes your videos really enjoyable to watch. I'll be binge watching them all! 😆
You said my mind at the end of the video. This is at best a business experience compared to what is offered on so many other airlines. Qatar Airways Qsuite service and hard product beats this hands down! Your videos are truly amazing and relaxing! 👏🏽
What a lovely thing to see you back flying Long Haul. I gotta say, that's a decent C Class product BA's flogging there. The significant thing is you're back. Your COVID video (about your experience) was one of the best PSAs about the whole experience. Good health to you!
You're so lucky to have this amazing experience on BA. We traveled First Class on BA 747 in 2019 from London to Chicago and it was the worst flight ever. We always travel First Class and traveled at least once a year overseas on different carriers, for the last 13 years. On that particular flight it was configured 2/4/2, my husband and I were in the middle two and a single person was on either side of us, facing us, with this collaspiable 'wall' for privacy. Every time we needed to get up, we actually had to step over the person because their head was in our way!! Then the flight attendant would lean over them and hit the privacy wall to communicate to us. The food was mediocre, the attendants were ignoring the fact that passengers from economy were walking through and taking the snacks set out for 1st class, so there wasn't anything left for us. AND, they pretty much stopped caring hours before we landed. I wrote to BA, naming the attendants, and was surprised they responded with apologies, but that was about it. But, thank you for this video. We've decided to visit South Africa in the near future.
I flew first class all the way from Mumbai to Philadelphia via London in 2012. It was a fascinating experience. However, I felt the flat bed wasn't really a fully flat bed unlike Emirates or Qatar. The food was great and the overall flight experience was pretty comfortable.
Thank you so very much for posting this video... you could never understand how much it means to someone like me, to finally be able to experience what first class would be like. Everyone should be able to experience a First Class flight, (or at the very least, experience this video), before they leave this world. I think your video would go a long way to help someone relax and get the most out of their flight if they were a first-time flier in British Airways First Class. Again, thank you for making and posting this video.
Thanks for another great video. I had the chance to fly BA First 3 times between JFK-LHR (twice, before Covid) and LHR-Santiago Chile (once, Dec 2019). None of my BA First experiences were good. Such as: (1) the cleaning team didn't take away the dirty used socks from previous flight passenger and left it on my ottoman; (2) long list of tea options on the menu but actually only loaded one type of tea - English breakfast; (3) few options of desert, but only one kind of desert is loaded on board; (4) broken IFE; pillow for sleep has large piece of stain on it; (5) totally empty hand wash and lotion in the First lavatory, they didn't fill it up; (6) didn't allow me to have 2 breakfast main courses as I skipped dinner, quite hungry; (7) only one hot towel for the entire 14-15 hours flight between LHR and Chile (BA's longest non-stop route); (8) snacks in the First for mid-flight are all cheap options like crisps, other airlines even serve burger / sandwich / noodles for business class mid-flight snacks. And lots of other issues...... I wouldn't pay cash or even hard earning Avios for BA anymore. It is a broken airline, massive cost cutting, poorer service but not lowering the price, of course I wouldn't lower my expectation as well.
Love the production quality of this video. So glad I found you. Subscribed! Will be taking my first flight (redeye on SQ from SIN to Melbourne) in a month. Will be the first time on a plane in 3 years, and when I saw your comment on the takeoff being an emotional experience, I was so happy to see your video left that uncut!
Word to the wise....be careful. I used to only fly economy then said lemme try premium economy. Once I tried business 2 years ago I haven't been back down since 🤣🤣. You get used to the better food lie flat bed & nice lounges REAL FAST
I had the chance to fly BA in First back in 2018 from Miami to LHR. It was great and so comfortable. And then I visited the Concorde Room, since I had a very long layover. I was so impressed. By far the best Lounge experience I ever had. Fantastic Food and lovely Staff. Its so nice to see you back on longhaul flights. As always, a very nice Video😀👍❤️
@@luxurytravelexpert Regarding to what I could see in your Video, that’s true. But since it was my (for the time being) the only First Class experience, It was a blast for me 😉.
Thanks for this LTE - another great clip. I am a big fan of BA Business Class on which I travel a lot directly to and from Jo'burg. Whilst it is great not to have a middle-of-the-night aircraft change more recently the Qatar Business class product has really, really raised the bar to even challenge, and some may say surpass, BA First Class. I have visited the Concorde Lounge and travelled BA first Class and I just think BA hasn't got either the Lounge or Cabin up at the required level which is disappointing given that the Business Class products are spot on. Come on BA - get up there with the best of them!!
While there are First Class seats on other airlines that are "over the top", this one looked appropriate enough. Everything else about the flight seemed to be sufficiently classy, including the food. Good trip, good video.
Missed your videos. Glad to see you back out making great content. I found myself going back re watching previous reviews during the various lockdowns. Keep up the great content and most of all stay safe. 🏴

THANK YOU
Thank you for your kind comment
You're the first TH-camr for whom I have actively enabled a bell notification.
Thank you ☺️
wow! How great is this video. I can not wait for the next. The way you are filming is calming and great! I follow you for a while now and I really like it. Greetings, Kim (The Netherlands)
Dankjewel voor de leuke comment 😉
Well I've finally gotten a glimpse of first class with British Airways lol. I love how you show everything in detail, the music you use, it makes your videos really enjoyable to watch. I'll be binge watching them all! 😆
You said my mind at the end of the video. This is at best a business experience compared to what is offered on so many other airlines. Qatar Airways Qsuite service and hard product beats this hands down!
Your videos are truly amazing and relaxing! 👏🏽
At last I've seen in writing what I inmediately felt: Business class
I believe from your description that this was Business Class (First Class does not have a 2/4/2 layout)
The Namibia bit was pretty cool, can't wait to watch that one
I flew first class all the way from Mumbai to Philadelphia via London in 2012. It was a fascinating experience. However, I felt the flat bed wasn't really a fully flat bed unlike Emirates or Qatar. The food was great and the overall flight experience was pretty comfortable.
Your videos are a welcome respite in this chaotic world; thank you so much for taking us along for this dreamy ride!
No one in the air knows how to use silver service like the folks at BA! Lovely crew with elegant and gracious service.
Hands down you are the best travel vlogger. The music is always on point and it always looks professionally done. 👍👍
Thank you for your very kind comment 😍
That work of art with the flip flops stopped working about three years ago.
Thank you. I was wonderful to finally see another trip report. looking forward to Africa.
Thank you for calling South Africa your favorite country 🤗
❤️🇿🇦
Best flight and travel reports...thats the best input what you can get on a saturday 😀
If u ever need a travel companion let me know Dr…..lol…..it’s amazing the way you film everything…I love it
Ah yes…. I am a South African, but left my heart in exquisite Namibia a long time ago ❤️👋🇿🇦
Namibia looks stupendous! Can’t wait to see this!
The filming angles that hide your reflection is extremely well done.
oooh Jammies! Good to see BA is serving the 'best' up there.
Thank you! Welcome back! Congratulations!
How nice. A youtuber that actually does a flight review about the flight and not about them trying to be classy whilst stuffing their faces.
Thanks for another great video. I had the chance to fly BA First 3 times between JFK-LHR (twice, before Covid) and LHR-Santiago Chile (once, Dec 2019). None of my BA First experiences were good.
Such as:
(1) the cleaning team didn't take away the dirty used socks from previous flight passenger and left it on my ottoman;
(2) long list of tea options on the menu but actually only loaded one type of tea - English breakfast;
(3) few options of desert, but only one kind of desert is loaded on board;
(4) broken IFE; pillow for sleep has large piece of stain on it;
(5) totally empty hand wash and lotion in the First lavatory, they didn't fill it up;
(6) didn't allow me to have 2 breakfast main courses as I skipped dinner, quite hungry;
(7) only one hot towel for the entire 14-15 hours flight between LHR and Chile (BA's longest non-stop route);
(8) snacks in the First for mid-flight are all cheap options like crisps, other airlines even serve burger / sandwich / noodles for business class mid-flight snacks.
And lots of other issues......
I wouldn't pay cash or even hard earning Avios for BA anymore. It is a broken airline, massive cost cutting, poorer service but not lowering the price, of course I wouldn't lower my expectation as well.
Thx for sharing your experiences
(6) is funny 😆. In first class 👍
I missed these reviews..... Good to see u again
Your experiences are inspirational. I love to travel but I've never flown business or first class. I'm believing to experience it for myself soon💕
The Lufthansa Firs Class facility in Frankfurt is more impressive (your home carrier) 🙂
Thank you for another beautifully crafted video. Delighted to see you back on long haul once more, and look forward to following your future journeys.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos
This was lovely thank you for this, I felt like I experienced the flight with you😊
One of the best tbh. Have only praise for the airliner. Missed my connecting flight and they quickly got me and other 15-20 people onto an empty flight same day
Ha! South Africa is my favourite country on earth too!! Excellent video mate🇿🇦
Looking forward to the Nambia series.
So glad you're traveling again. Safe travels always.
Lounge looked excellent. The plane trip was pretty ordinary
What a superb video. The best one by far of the concorde room. Thanks again, looking forward to your next post.

Beautiful 👍 The last famous word I 'know what I'm doing 👍 congratulations for one million subscribers 👍
Magnificently well put together, I am pleased I enjoyed a cheeseboard and a glass of Port whilst enjoying your first longhaul enroute to Namibia. I cannot wait to see your footage. Thanks so much for sharing and great to see a BA Fist looking so comfortable 👌
The music filming were excellent .thank you very much I enjoyed a lot.
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm so happy to see this! I was so excited the moment I saw it was coming. Your excellent flight reviews are what drew me to your channel, please keep them coming if possible!
Thank you for your kind comment
Amazing footage, thank you! Very relaxing and detailed.
