  • Please note: In this capture, the game continousuly glitches out and has choppy framerate in some levels after level 42. Restarting the game fixed the issues; the footage has been spliced so you will not see this happen afer level 47. While this may look like one continuous playthrough, this recording of the game does not show that it was restarted twice to prevent further glitching.
とびだせ! Pac-Man Run is one of many games that spawned from the Catalog IP initiative, a project formulated by Bandai Namco in 2015 as a collaboration effort for indie developers to use their legacy IP for new games. This particular game launched in 2016 by CoolGames for Japanese web browsers. Though the game was taken down in 2020 after the Catalog IP license expired, it can still be played via Bluemaxima's Flashpoint thanks to the preservation effort made to keep the HTML5 games accessible.
As the title indicates, this is an auto-runner starring Pac-Man. The player hops and dodges obstacles and platform gaps to make it to the end of each level. Pac-Man can perform a mid-air dash to jump across wide gaps, as well as change direction when there is a turn to make.
Level objectives consist of either time trials or eating enough dots, cherries, or ghosts to fulfill the required quota. However, there are three keys in each level. Enough of these need to be collected so the player will not get blocked by gates on the map.
There are 100 levels in all, with an implication that more were planned to release. Despite the "Coming Soon" banner at the top of the map, though, the game will still congratulate you for clearing all of the levels.

Which is better, Pac-Man Dash or Pac-Man Run?

      Oh, Pac-Man Run for sure.
Pac-Man Dash has always been too reliant on elements outside your control. You move too fast and the levels are too randomized for you to feel like you're planning your moves efficiently.
Pac-Man Run, the levels are all laid out as you see them. While the game demands you keep up with it, it's a reasonable challenge because you are much more in control over your movements - especially since you're doing more than just jumping - and there's enough on the screen at a given time for you to see what you should do.

Suppressing how you got access to play it! I always wanted to try this game, but I never got to find any source of it.
