Now, my child has taught me about life, and the finer, more amazing, genius things and people life has to offer. They struggle with mental health issues, that won't ever change, but because I have, we are closer than ever. If I could tell parents anything, make them understand, life isn't meat and potatoes, it's colourful, and today's youth are that colour. They are genius in their thinking, sit and talk with your children, you will have the most amazing time, I think alot of parents are worried that their children are smarter than them, live with your child/ren, you might just love it. I've got an 8 year old little brother who heard this song a while back and he really loved it and was singing it for days, eventually he saw the video and he LOVED it. His dad has always been very stern and often gets upset when he wears nailpolish. Countless times he would even say ' are you guys trying to turn my kid gay???" My little brother gets super upset when hearing that. So his thought at first to the video was ' haha hes wearing a skirt that's funny ' and a few days later it turned into him saying ' I love his outfit I think hes so cool!!! ' this holiday I was asking him what he wanted for xmas and he told me he wanted red hair dye and pink socks.
I ended up picking up both those things for him along with a yungblud shirt and I cant help but cry while wrapping them up for him because I'm so SO proud that he is growing up to accept that he can be who he wants to be, dress how he wants to be and feel like himself in his own home and feel safe being himself. My little bro ended up opening his yungblud shirt last, christmas morning. He immediately ran to his room and put it on, along with some pink socks he got for xmas aswell.
