  • Max Watson on the County Line.
The County Line is our drop through carver, made for multiple riding styles and ample comfort for your longest session. Our drop-through truck mounts and wide platform with extended tip/tail kicks provides greater edge control, foot placement options and balance. The urethane truck mount provides vibration dampening in all riding conditions. The cambered deck with subtle concave is available in two flex options, firm or soft - and they are hand-crafted in our U.S.A factory, The Distillery.
Our complete County Line is built up with White Lightning 70mm SLIP wheels, Caliber 50 trucks and Moonshine's own ABEC 7 rated, oiled bearings.
    Dimensions: 43.75"L X 9.5'W
    Wheelbase Options: 30.5" / 31.25"
Soft flex recommended for riders under 180 lbs (41-82 kg).
Firm flex recommended for riders between 150-220+ lbs. (68-120+ kg)

Got my own County Line deck last week (2018 firm version, because 85kg 183cm of dude sitting here) with paris trucks and divine wheels 72/82A from a little local skateshop and i love it to bits :) It's my first longboard, was snowboarding some years ago and skateboarding when i was a kid. Now everywhere i go, rain or sunshine, county line is with me. Couldn't be happier :D
Btw, what song is used in this video?

I enjoy this video no matter how many times I watch it. I was wondering if the firm version still has a decent amount of flex if you are a few pounds under 180.

How heavy is too heavy for a firm county line?

What flex are they using in this video? I know you guys changed the flexes on this board to where the red is now soft and the yellow is firm. If I’m not mistaken, it was the opposite for the old ones?

Hey Eric! you are correct, the colors have changed

If this video had been made with a Ho Down, what would the rider have felt or had to change? I was told my County Line would be bettered by a Ho Down in every respect. I don't agree.

The hoedown is slightly longer, taller, and heavier whereas the county line is more for cruising/carving/freestyle

Would the county line soft be a good board for someone just starting to longboard?

I wouldn't start on a near $300 board. Even with Moonshine's unit hand rails, your gonna bump and bang up a first board. I started on just a simple Penny longboard, fantastic for a beginner or just getting places. Now, I want to get into downhill and technical freestyle, and I'm saving up for the Hooch. But you shouldn't start with something expensive, because you may not even like skating, and an expensive setup at that point would be a poor investment. Overall, start cheep, and grow to your needs :)

Buy a Walmart board when you're starting off.

Can the hooch be used for cruising?

+rick tatlor yes. We have riders that cruise it all the time. It's a very versatile board!
