I’m drinking an iced cappuccino while listening to Over A Cup Of Coffee by the Castelles. Great music Hope more oldies stations open up on the airwaves Thanks for sharing the great doo wop sounds of yesterday
I turned a 50s style Denny’s Diner into a doo wop diner. I brought my smart phone and a Bluetooth speaker with me and listened to your show while dining They had the holes in the counter in the booth that once had a selector panel for a Rowe bubble style juke box. The idiots had it taken out when Covid 19 struck. I love those bubble jukes I repaired many as an electronic tech when I worked in the coin op industry Internet juke boxes now replace the mechanical jukes. No moving parts and no oldies or doo wop menu on these internet jukes mostly mumble rap and horrible new country music on the titles
I cant believe we've never met.Not only am I a huge doo-wop and soul fan and a musican but have lived and worked around the Astoria for the past 30 years.Fantastic collection and always enjoy your downloads on you tube.Keep it up.
I remember Story Untold by the Nutmegs very popular in New Orleans during the 50's. We listened to Poppa Stoppa every day from 4 p to 10p then Jack the Cat till after midnight. Best music ever made!!!!:))))
Josie impressive songs my friend I'm an old-timer but I appreciate the R&B are some people called doo wop but I love all these old songs keep up the good work we have to pass them on
Awesome coming from the west coast.. Thx,, You opened my eyes and ears.. Love the sound of the 45 on the Victrola, you are keepig good company with PJDOOWOP
The "angels" are singing. This show with PJ Noce is every bit as good as the Group Harmony Revue with Dan Romanello heard on WFUV.org (Fordham University in The Bronx) and originally called The Time Capsule Show. These shows are the gold standards by which all vocal group harmony shows should be judged.
I miss the Group Harmony Review,Nite Train show and Doo Wop shop. Came in too late for Gossert. Got my records from Triboro,Clifton,Downstairs and Greenline.
Group Harmony Revue is on Saturday nights midnight to 2am 90.7FM on WFUV (Fordham University's Voice) and WFUV.org with Dan Romanello. You didn't miss anything not seeing Gus Gossert. He MC'd shows but you could tell he didn't know the music and was booed all the time.
..............Man!!........I loved every minute of this takeover Josue!!......I am almost envious of the collection that you have..........but if I listen to this post more often times than not, the envy goes away!!!........HAHAHAAAA!!!!........GREAT TAKEOVER JOSUE!!!!!.......you've got that NO-CAL TASTE!!!!!
Sorry about the fried eggs sound on some of those rare records. They still sound great. Just cut the treble down or activate your scratch filter on the amp
Alice Jean and The Mondellos...I remember this, I went to Jefferson H.S. in Daly Cityand lived in Sharp Park! Now Pacificia. The last version I like best they made two versions...of course will listened to Jumpin' George KSAN THE CITY, and Bouncin' Bill KWBR in Oakland CA...thanks for playing, I was stationed at FORT ORD 1960 next to Sea Side.

I may be in the minority but this is some of the WORST RnR I ever heard. Maybe it would be more palatable if all of the non-music Yak-Yak was edited out. These songs are nothing like what I heard on Detroit radio such as CKLW, WJBK, WEXL (where I sat in on location with a DJ who was my friend), and WXYZ, when rock and roll was still fresh and new back in the 1950's.
Great music I thank you for all the great music you play great collection, thank you
Such sweet choices! Thanks Josue.
@@bobfriedman thank you I appreciate that

Howard Goodman I think he improved when he got collectors as producers like Wayne Sterle.
I lost this year over 11 thousand extremely rare 45's ones I dont know if I'll ever have another chance to even own again
Oh my- first try to seek out your faves - ebay - may be a good start - or your local record shop. Sorry to hear
