The “Michael” Album is simply another example of how Sony screws over artists for money. Michael was trying to escape from Sony since the late 90s and had a rocky relationship with the label. (There are even some conspiracy theories that point to Sony destroying his career with the Accusations from 2005) If we know the family doesn’t approve of the “Michael” album, then I’m sure Mj would absolutely disown it.

Diamonds by Rihanna is another example. It was written by Sia within 14 minutes. She has some part in vocals I believe. When I first heard it, I knew it was heavily influenced by Sia.
I think this one is slightly different considering Sia is credited and gave it to Rihanna. Same with Pretty Hurts by Beyoncé. She is a songwriter for not only herself but for other artist and she gets credited and paid.
What pisses me off so much about this is people want to accuse Mariah Carey of being some sort of fraud for lip syncing TO HER OWN VOCALS some of the time.. yet there are these artists who do this shit. At least Mariah is 100% her own - writer, singer, producer - always has been and always will be. She don't need to rip off anyone elses demo vocals.. and when she samples, she gives full credit.

The perfect example for this is Avicii. I loved and still love his music, however when I was younger i noticed in his big hits (like wake me up etc) the singer was never in the title or accredited. It still takes me ages to find the singers in a lot of DJs songs (like that one hit from swedishhousemafia)

The Difference between JLO and Britney's situation here, is JLo has a very Generic voice. Christina Millian, Ashanti and Amerie all sound exactly like JLO when they sing. So hence he being able to get away with keeping their vocals on most of her songs. Britney on the other hand has a very distinctive tone and vocal styling. Only other person that sounds close to her vocally is Gwen Stefani. That being said im gonna side eye JLO a little more than Brit because JLO blatantly relies on artist with similar tone of voice as hers to carry her songs. Thats all i gotta say
