Thank u guys fpr sharing. I am a jeep camping from Washington state i left at 18 never looking back, but i recently started a hobby of camping now its my lifestyle. I enjoy nature so im heading back home all the way back from the South wanting to explore my homeland. I didn't even know all this was here wow
Now that's a campsite. I love being surrounded by trees and the sounds associated with it with wildlife and wind passing through the leaves. PNW is really beautiful....made me nostalgic when I lived there for close to a year many years ago.
As soon as you said Lena Lake and Hama Hama Falls, I said to myself, "man that sounds familiar", after messing around on Google Maps i figured out why...That's the way you go for the trail that leads to Summit to The Brothers Mountain, one that I have yet to climb that's been on my list ever since i figured out the name (thanks to my Peak Finder app) of the Olympic mountain that dominates the skyline every time I'm down at any of the Puget Sound beaches close to me here in Burien
No doubt! It was such a nice change camping in the PNW again after weeks in Utah. Both are incredible, but I do love being surrounded by trees. Just can't beat the smell of a PNW forest!
I hear you. It was definitely super busy where we were in this one. Neighbors closer than we ever like. Seems like riverside spots are tough to come by no matter where we go in the Olympics.
@@WheretoNextOverland Yep. Almost all the roads are straight up/straight down on either side. Most spur roads go to logger's landings if they go anywhere, or aren't blocked off. Most of the river spots are at bridges on the mainlines. And the garbage... That road does have more spots than normal though. Glad you had fun.
Greatly enjoying watching your videos. We’d love to know what music was playing while hiking up the Lena Lake trail. We were just up there in November.
WA is great, loved living there. Still, I am in VA now and it's just as beautiful with an older charm and much more history. Went to Berkley Plantation where the first Thanksgiving toplace and the declaration of independence once rested with one of its signers. There are cannon balls from the American revolution in the walls. The NW cannot compare.
Is it bad i could tell where you were before you ever even went over the bridge lmao. The first 2 minutes i was like that looks familiar. My favorite stomping grounds. Weve been camping up there since inwas a teenager. Its so sad to see what logging and fires did to that area. That ridge you were on that is clear has a trail that goes to jefferson ridge. I hiked that area weeks before the fire and now everything is destroyed.
I'm from Tacoma. I love nature. I need to get out to the mountains and ocean every weekend. I work 40 hours a week and I need to get away from modern life. Modern life is exhausting. I'm tired all the time.
@@WheretoNextOverland Hahaha glad to find out that we are not the only one who struggles to find dispersed camps. I thought it was just an east coast thing
It's a GoPro Hero 10 on a suction mount. While I don't particularly love the video quality it produces, the image stabilization is pretty incredible (negating the need for a gimbal)
Nope, just the factory 24 gallon tank. Up until this point it has been sufficient, but we just added an external 4 gallon rotopax for an upcoming trip where our range will be pushed to (or beyond) it's limit
Lol, Just watching your stampede pass and that sleeping bag. Your wife has. I will not be getting that for my wife for that price, I gave her my old ( That is still like new ) Carhart arctic bibs and jacket, with the hood?

WA has endless nature to explore, that's for sure!
love that you show your bumps in the road and not just the high points of the trip!
Thanks for this comment. Often times, it's the bumps in the road that become the highlights!

Agreed! Camping in a dense forest is pretty hard to beat for me

Fantastic! Love the PNW backwoods. Very quiet and serene.

@@WheretoNextOverland Nature's air freshener, lol.
I live in PT. The Olympics are too frustrating for dispersed camping. Glad you found a spot.

saw you in traffic at the seatac airport this morning. you were next to us when i noticed your nice rig
Hah! Small world. Yep, that was me, for sure. What were you in?
Waooo……😍😍😍….no tengo palabras es hermoso el lugar verde, verde, verde😍😍😍Gracias Gracias Gracias 💚💚💚💚
Such an awesome campsite..... and welcome to the PNW!!! That is also one of my fav sammies!
Thanks! It felt SO good to be back camping in the PNW.
You know the food is good when your head wiggles after the first bite. That sandwich looks good, perfect for the ambiance.
Hahah .... yeah, you're not wrong about the head wiggle. 🤣
Food tastes better when you're camping in nature. The air so fresh and clean. Nature is quiet and relaxing. It's my happiness and peace inside me.
Looked like an awesome weekend and had some nice company too.
An awesome weekend with mediocre company (kidding, kidding).
@@WheretoNextOverland now that’s funny.
Great team work! Amazing work as well!
Thanks!
That toasted sandwich sounds delicious!
Where next? The Staircase Rapids if you haven't been there, it may be my favorite part of the park, it's a hidden gem!
We'll have to check that out. Haven't been there yet, but it looks incredible from pictures. Thanks for the idea!
Song Sparrows and Dark-eyed Junco plus that Robin
Good ear
Greatly enjoying watching your videos. We’d love to know what music was playing while hiking up the Lena Lake trail. We were just up there in November.
Wish I had an easy way to answer that. That song came from Artlist.io -- not sure what the artist / title is anymore.
@ Thank you very much for trying.

Love this history on the east coast! You're right .... when it comes to stuff like that, we don't have ANYTHING that compares over here.

Gorgeous sceneries
The Olympic Peninsula is a pretty spectacular place. Hard to do it justice sometimes with video
I could watch your videos all day!
Thanks for the great video! Btw, where can I buy a flat pan and standing grill like the one you had in the video?
Great exploring! Thanks for sharing. Do you have an after market lift or suspension kit on your Lexus?
Nope, still on the factory AHC suspension!
Jurassic park! Lazy days in that kind of ambiance are the best!
No dinosaurs, though. Oh wait .... dinosaurs are birds now. Scratch that
... LOTS of dinosaurs 😆

@maxdexpeditions the problem with this spot was that the road in wasn't rough enough to keep Priuses at bay!
14:29 Nothin' like roughing it in the outdoors 😜
Hahaha
Great video! Glad I subscribed.
Thanks, and welcome to the channel!
Could you please share where this is. Me and a friend are going to look for some spots this weekend and I'm worried we won't have enough options.
Amazing video!
Thank you!

10:13 now we know how the Big Horn fire started...
Top notch detective work 🙄
Yay!
Is there a way you can send me a map of the trail please I live in Buckley WA I live to explore that trail
Check out the road to Hamma Hamma Falls
I just started watching your videos, But I would really like to know. Did you get a bigger fuel tank put in that to do the off roading?
We live in Lacey and never have been to Lena lake and we are going to check it out as soon it opens up.

Oops! I didn't get to finish editing that before I sent it. I just need to get Footys for her. I'm to fat to wear them anymore. Lol
What is the griddle/wok you have?
@@mikemcmahon2480 it's the skottle from Tembo Tusk
