- In October and November 2017, B’Tselem recorded several incidents in which Israeli soldiers harassed pupils and teachers who must go through a gate the military installed about 30 meters from the school and 50 meters from the road leading to the settlement of Kiryat Arba. Soldiers detained several teachers and, in one case, kept two in custody for about an hour.
The video was edited by B’Tselem from footage filmed by Manal al-Ja’bri, Suzan Jabber and ‘Abd al-‘Alim a-Salaimeh.

There's no evidence of bullying in the video. The soldiers simply take the kid aside and deal with him. That's not bullying. There's no cowardice either. This is not a situation which calls for courage, so the lack of it is irrelevant. It's just a routine incident for the soldiers to deal with.

This is deliberate harassment. It is a part of intimidation tactics. You can spot that right on. The goal is obviously to infuse an inferiority complex into the civilian population, create fear, eventually provoke a reaction which they can use as an excuse to even shoot somebody in cold blood...consequently forcing the targeted group to leave. That's plain criminal behavior and those people should be judged and arrested by the international community. If not possible in Israel, than in any other circumstances when they dare to live their country and travel abroad, as any common criminal would be. With today's technology, a face-recognition is an easy and common thing and can be done at airports or in the streets of any city that has surveillance cameras. And it is not even something difficult to do...just let the computers search the database and alert the authorities. Other counties or EU, for example, should criminalize these activities and express a clear will to arrest these people once they apprehend them in EU territory (if they are to leave the security of Israel). This kind of behavior must not be tolerated by the law-abiding countries, and thugs of this kind should not be allowed to move outside of Israel...under a clear threat of being arrested. There is no difference between them (common thugs and those so-called "soldiers"). The only "difference" is the uniform behind which they are hiding. It is truly appalling!
