Sounds fantastic! It’s so hard to find a metal Alto mouthpiece that is not to bright and not to dark. This sounds dead on....sweet Eric! In a world that has everything for Tenor.........It’s nice to have more amazing options for Alto! Congrats to all!
This is nothing like a late night infotainment piece on vacuum cleaners etc, Eric really is excited, no acting, just rapture. Eric is going to sell a truck load of these pieces, it's a love story and then he plays the hell out of it, the alto market is putty in his hand, but they will need a life sized cut out of Eric for the stores.
Ok Karma speaking to me...love ya Eric...been listening to you since I got your instructional tape 20 years ago...walking around blasting “Crossroads” in my Walkman at 15 years old. Been playing a Guardala Studio for years...trying these mouthpieces as a change. Also, just heard u on some sessions with a Trombonist in Japan (I believe) playing that chromatic lick on Cherokee...just reminded me so I’m shedding on it tomorrow, Crazy chance you read this...how you interpreting that lick to changes?
I listened to other bloggers. Maybe you should change the material. I don't know. The sound is heavy, it's a work in progress. I will wait for the next version)) A good mouthpiece for an alto saxophone is a problem.
Adam Madsen I bet the old Beechler doesn’t play nearly as well and Eric adjusted to it after all the years playing it, thus giving it “his” unique sound. I’m sure on the new mpc the same will happen and over time it will sound just as unique and likely even better over time. Eric’s sound is still his sound, sounds great to me.
The Beechler was always trying to be screechy. I happily got insane money for 2 vintage 7s from when i was doing pop studio work. This one sounds more like it is honoring a little of the alto historic sound even though it is bright and an altissimo machine like the beechler. Then again I play a lamberson Fmaj7 and drake phil woods even on funk and sound very credible. Twenty six yrs of working a meyer before all these. Eric is a wonderful musician.

...and to think I had Beechler make me a Custom Bellite #7 about two months before this video!
Keep it if you like it! It's a legendary piece.
Excelente músico bom!!!
Sir eric, what brand of alto mouthpiece you are using and what size.thank you Sir
Does it have a step baffle or normal low baffle? Pictures on the website are a little bit confusing.

You need some work ASAP..lol
The mouthpiece sounds like a good player, but unfortunately not quite the Eric Marienthal sound I love. Damn.
Agreed. The sound is too hollow and not as smooth
