    Man, sorry about recent life drama. People suck sometimes. Love your videos! I spent a lot of Saturday mornings and Sundays fossil hunting as a kid. I would look so hard when I was out hunting that when I got back to our gravel driveway I would see little fossils every where but it was just my eyes and brain playing tricks on me. Thanks for taking us along on your fossil hunting trips!! I really enjoy it. Just so you know I saw what looks like a human hand in one of your recent videos, too. I think it was at the same place.

      Those aren't fossilized at all. I been digging for sharks teeth and animal fossils since I was a kid. You never find them articulated like that. You can dig them up all in the right places one after another, but they are never connected. Those bones aren't even very old. I guarantee that they are less than 100 years old. Probably more recent than that. I've found fossilized bones that are white like that, the color depends on the layers they're preserved in, but those are recent. I found a human femur once, in the Cooper River SC. I turned it into the state, and they said it was Native American. I figured it probably was because it was already starting to mineralize, but these bones are recent. Someone could still be looking for this person. He should contact the local sheriff department. 🙏 🙏 🙏

It looked like 2 rib bones and a thigh bone in the creek near the hand. Did you mark the spot so archeologists could do further study in the area? Amazing finds that day for sure!!!

    Fossils are so cool. That fact that you could see a clump of coral from millions of years ago is amazing. One time we went to Lake Powel in Utah/Arizona and we had a geologist with us. I would never have seen it but all of the sudden he said stop the boat there's a petrified forest over there. We stopped and walked out onto this flat surface next to the lake with all kinds of rocks and sure enough when you looked closer you could see the bark of the trees and the rings. Really cool. A whole forest floor from forever ago.

    I feel ya bro. My wife of 17 years just did the same thing. Now I’m 2000 miles away and use fossil hunting the Florida rivers and construction sites as my therapy too…but damn if it ain’t gettin hot.

    • @richardcarter9107
      @richardcarter9107 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah that hurts for sure. I was born down in Central Florida, and grew up hunting the phosphate mines in Bone Valley. Mosaic owns almost all of the mines now, and they make it hard to get in. I was just looking at Google Earth last night. There's a 4 way stop at a place called Fort lonesome, If you go North at the 4 way you will see fresh spoil piles on the left about a mile from Fort Lonesome. Those used to be a 4 corners mines in that area. The spoils are tall there, so if you get dropped off and try to make sure to be careful if you go towards the spoil tops, then you can get in there and find some good stuff. That area has always been hit and miss, but even in the areas that don't produce much, you'll still fill a beer flat up with small teeth, and you'll find some nice megs. Sometimes you can get in an area and find some good animal fossils, like mastodon, rhino, and nice three toed horse teeth. You just have to go covertly anymore. Insurance companies ruin everything. I used to spend as much time in the mines as possible. I thought I'd be able to hunt the mines for the rest of my life. Most of the old companies didn't care, and we'd just drive right up to the wells and have so much fun. It's because of the Insurance companies that they don't let anyone in anymore. If you go out there, you have to get dropped off. They will start looking for you if they see a vehicle on the side of the road. If you get up around the panhandle as far as rivers go, it depends on if you're diving or just looking in the shoals and snorkeling. The Aucilla river is full of Pleistocene fossils. The entire river bottom is a bone bed. Anywhere in the lower end you'll find good fossils. Just be careful cause of caves and dark water. If you're just walking and searching the shoals the Stienhatchee river is full of fossils too. You can pull up handfuls of little pieces of fossil bones with gator teeth and deer teeth all through it, and you'll find bobcat teeth and jaws sometimes. I hope this helps you, and about the bonevalley spots, the only way to hunt them anymore is to be an outlaw pretty much, but atleast you'll be saving the fossils from being destroyed if you do get in there. Below Bartow and below Bowling Green, they're mining there too on the opposite side of the Peace river. There's some very killer fossils in those mines, it used to be Cargill, but the layer is shallow, which is good for hunting, but it makes it easier for them to spot you too. That area has some beautiful Orange bladed teeth, lots of nice big Hemi's too. I live up in SC now but was just talking about making a trip down there. Good luck

    See! You have all kinds of support here! We love our Diamond Miner! The hand was freaky! It definitely looked like a full on human hand! At least that was the only part of him that was there, or that you ran acrossed anyways! Thats just freaky! And again, im so sorry that happened to you with Jessie. Its just ridiculous, the lack of someones common sense. I dont know how someone could do that to somebody they love, or said they loved anyways! Its not that hard to just break up with someone first, if you want to he with someone else. But we are here to support you and help you through all the low spots. It happens to all of us! And as for your finds, wow! The creek has dried up so much that it has left previously unseen things (like hands) exposed! that coral fossil, that was a reef layer, was super cool! And the deathplate with all of the different smaller fossils was amazing! and its definitely going to glow under uv! and there is just a ton of ammonite pieces and whole ones. Its awesome that you have found at least 3-5 distinct different species of ammonites there. And when the shell is preserved well enough that you can see that difference, its amazing! I happy to see you getting on with your life so quickly. I know its hard. But youve got so many of us here to help you move on with your life! Hang in there buddy!

    I found some of those coral conglomerates in the Sanger area around Denton. Luckily I had a friend with me to help load it. It probably weighs 150#. Keep em coming. Good luck and Happy Trials 👍😎👍

    Greetings from Tasmania! That's in Australia! Sorry about the drought, sorry about the Special Unwanted & Unwarranted Delivery - some folk have no Class even when they are working for a delivery service... Your X... you're better off without her. Nice to see all the fossils just lying there in the river bed, the rain will return & your ammonites will be a sight harder to find, but the water will be good to have.

    I love Amonites. I had a beauty at one time and decided to donate it to Weatherford College. Hopefully it will help future generations in their geology studies.

      @@DiamondMinerIvins I'm struggling to my guy. As men, society doesn't really give us the support we need. So we gotta stand together. Keep your head held high, and remember you got a good following that is supportive
