was it just me or did anyone else click on this video thinking the boat as going to come flying out the door??? (thumbs up though + respect to RNLI members)
@@richardsimpson3136 the rnli know what they are doing , based on years of experience , your a nobody and based of your comments your really not that intelligent either
I always expect the trolley to tip up as it hits the stops and the boat just to slide into the water. keep hoping the crane is just there to lift it back out again lol
Looks like it could be intresting in high winds! Ours is moored afloat on an open boatlift, it makes for a quick launch but is a pig to keep clean and tidy, especially today as we have a divisional inspection tomorrow. Ah well I suppose it was bound to pour down the moment we finished!! Have fun guys and be safe ;-)
RNLI awesome, period. The person who designed this launch system needs be be dropped off out at sea and then call for rescue! I’m pretty sure another launch design will be pretty soon coming!!
@@rickdavis3593 I don't know who you are , but the rnli are the pinnacle of inshore rescue boats , I'm going to trust there operating procedures rather than you
Interesting to see the team work, but why not deploy afloat and return to shed in the evening? It would seem to be safer and quicker. Not trying to knock your team and effort, Just posing the question. Cheers keep up the great work.
@@kieranmurphy5101 You should call the RNLI and give them the benefit of your superior knowledge . All these years they have been inefficient , how many lives have been lost because they call on you ?
GeorgeBonez What the hell? Glad I don't plan on drowning near there anytime soon. You could've had a sandwich in the time it took to launch that thing.
They are volunteers people's lives are at stake because people put themselves in situations where they can't handle the conditions , these people have no responsibility for you or anyone , u should be grateful they are giving there time
Much too slow. If they had a triangular A frame trailer with the apex of the A trailed to a winch inside the hut, and the wheels on the feet of the A. Then a rectangular structure on which the boat stands is hinged at its mid point and the hinge is attached to the feet of the A wheeled frame structure , then the boat can be pushed out to the edge on wheels then the rectangular structure will be pivoted on the hinge with the boat inclined with its nose into the sea. If the hinged rectangle is large enough the boat will have very a very low drop to sea. Bringing it back will be a inverse procedure . just wheel the A frame to the edge, incline the pivoted Recrangular structure, using a winch and some guides pull the boat up the incline on to the rectangular hinged structure, incline the boat to a level position and pull it into the hut. I wager that with training in one minute they could launch that boat.
Ok so what is your solution for when the tide is OUT ? The tide ranges are up to 6 meters here. look at this link th-cam.com/video/IlFzOtsOJII/w-d-xo.html

I did
Chuck Norris ( ' ', ) I did
I did too 😁
Like so many “bait” fake pictures on you tube
I want it too fly
I didn’t see the crane at first and was disappointed not to see the lifeboat go in nosedive submarine style. Still pretty quick launch. Good work.
B.S. BAD WORK! Slow as Hell!

I would have already drowned... Seriously... Thanks for the work that you do!
Opening shot like something from a James Bond movie. I was expecting it to come flying out of that hole... darn it!

Great footage
How long does it take to drown 3mins + just to crane in into water !!! What's wrong with a ramp?
Well done the RNLI
So many 'experts' commenting. This isn't a service launch hence no haste.
Practice it the way you're going to do it.............

There’s very slow at it aren’t they. You wouldn’t want to be in a hurry drowning with these guys.
Geez I think they even played rock paper scissors to see who got to drive! Slooow.

Oh that’s right. Lifeboats not needed at night?
@@highrevs6110 yes that's definitely the problem with what was said , I'd also say , that statistically lifeboats are called out more during the day

They Lifeboat Crew are volunteers. The Station is un-manned, they are called by pager when required.
Slide with rollers would have that boat in the water in seconds!
raft and crew dangling on a single cable. right.
Same way as a mob boat on a vessel
I wish this was a long range boat.
The thumbnail made it look like it was propelled by jets out over the wall and into the water
Three minutes and eleven seconds to launch a boat I hope it wasn’t an emergency
Atlantic 85 Inshore Lifeboat.
I was hoping for a rocket launch
Release from the davit arm and do your rigging underway.
Wtf were they doing checking they had there packed lunch.
before they set off I think they need a tea break, jammy dodger boys?
Being that I'm here in the US, had to look up jammy dodgers.
Sounds very reasonable to have a tea break with some jammies.
If I were a tax-payer living in Baltimore I would be fucking livid!

They were only launching to do a training exercise, besides, they aren't government funded
No rush fellas... Only peoples lives at stake...

Da ist es recht locker mal noch ´ne Minute raus zu holen, auf 2,11min. !!
Too late!
when they got there the guy was dead
Was that Benny Hill?
The most stupid rescue launch in the world !
That launch should have been shot out.
ABSOLUTELY!
Shot out of what ?
That is NOT what you would call FAST! Should have just left it in the water and ZOOM! GONE!
