I also went to an engineering school, for electrical / computer engineering and became a software engineer that volunteered for the lobotomy and moved into management years ago. :) I may have a few arcade games in my basement, tempest, Star Wars (all three originals) and a couple pinball machines all of which seem to need constant repair because they are getting old like me. That's what 3D printing is for :) I am on the same quest to restore moria, though my work, home, life and travel makes playing with others difficult to keep a schedule. It took me two months playing with my sister on and off to complete the game. I suggest there are many dwarves on this quest and you should checkout the discord looking for group channel. Thank you... please watch a few other videos including the updated one for this base... I made substantive improvements especially for stability. studio.th-cam.com/users/videoJ_8J8DFOs_w/edit
Very nice. I beat the game once solo and waiting for friends to play through again. Then I plan on working with them to do a mega base like this. I really hope devs make expansions, would be nice to be prepared like this. They gave us post-game armor and weapons so there better be an expansion or DLC content!!
I think I'm a lot like you, in the photo I'm a little younger but now I'm 52 years old, and I love playing and I love this game, I've always played alone but if that's the case we can play together I think it will be fun, hugs, I loved your construction, you put a lot of effort and dedication into it, there are many hours spent to carry out what has been done, congratulations.
@@mereakfirmaxe-1988 just watched, equally as impressive! About how much granite do you think one of these bases takes? I have about 2k stored right now. I know it’s probably not nearly enough but I’m just curious
@@ZaddyGohan I never really measured it, after three full worlds and a few resource worlds I have well over 20K of granite and adamt, I would say 3K granite and 2k adamt depending on how fancy you get. dont forget the wood too... there are entire rooms I have found in every game that are too small for thier size, one for stone, granite and adamt (I found them in every instance), the room is full of those materials and the entire room can be mined... takes days in game.
@@mereakfirmaxe-1988so I’m back for another question-how did you get the floor tiles to stay up in your hallways where the rooms are? As well as the ones in the rooms themselves. They are all very unstable for me, and I even added extra support columns that you didn’t have, yet pieces constantly fall from the ceiling
I guess I will to an elven quarter tutorial to demonstrate :) is there a time stamp in my video (or any of them) that shows me exactly what you would like to see or do you have a video or picture you can send me on the issue? @@ZaddyGohan
The problem I have with this game is that once you finish the campaign there is nothign left to do. No reason to continue playing. Unlike most survival games were you still have to survive attacks even after you finish the campaign.
Until the next patch and DLC(s) are released I have been cleaning, repairing, mining and killing orcs. I still get raided and attacked all the time and there is lots to build. I plan on fully exploring the path down to the Lower Deeps as well. I guess it depends what you like. The second + time through is also very different with proper gear and the knowledge to play. I actually found it even more fun. Thanks for watching.

This is the nicest base I’ve seen so far. Strong work. Nice design too!
Thanks, I am in the middle of enhancing this and building in another area... and a new build video ... :)

i really do not play on a regular basis... most of this was holiday vacation.
They added new furniture, and I think they are still adding more to the game!
Looks amazing!
They are, the latest notes talk about xBox release, Steam Release, more furniture, PS5 improvements, etc. th-cam.com/video/qngq-h9W6BI/w-d-xo.html
Love the base. Great detail elements and love the functionality as well.
thanks
Freaken inspiring - build lord!
This is NEXT LEVEL dedication. How long did it take you to build this? I can’t get over how interconnected it is, insanely good job dude!
watch my redo ... its even better... this took about 6 hours of real life ... I know a huge time sink but I find it relaxing :)

Why do you think there will be dlc? I have not seen any reports stating this. @@mereakfirmaxe-1988
