For everyone who saw the hand sign, pls beware because sometimes it’s also a battler trick to confuse judges and the opponent. The hand signs in a battle originally proposed are very psychological, so you guys shouldn’t take it for granted.

First of all I love Lunayuna she is so underrated. She is very close with Waackxxxy too for a long time so I see this more like a cypher. However, I would give my vote for Waackxxxy. In the initial phase of her performance, she was following the fast instrument with her waack WHILE doing a lyrical reference of the song. That's a double kill. Towards the duration of her performance, she was clinging to that afro reference like the gwara gwara variation she executed (watch the mv of this song and you'd understand where she's coming from). All that WHILE still on the beat and instruments. Meanwhile, Lunayuna didn't really do much in reference to the song. She was focused on her technique, and that maybe why the judges voted especially that highlight turn. This can go either way depending on your PRINCIPLE as a dancer. I personally love when I see references and origin of the song from a dancer while still being musical with the beat and instruments that's why I'm in love with dancers like Lip J 'cause she fits so well with my taste. So I would pick Waackxxxy.
I love lunayuna and waackxxy. I think Waackxxxy tried to listen to music more than lunayuna. I think Lunayuna was busy doing her techniques rather than listening to music. Musicallity is the most important of all dance types. So I think waackxxy should have won
I saw you commenting about waacking alot before and it seemed that you are Waacker or a Waacking fan, and I can see that Waackxxxy is one of your favourite but to be honest in this battle I found Luna is a little bit stronger isn't it
@@thypham3254 I do and study waacking for years, as well as other styles and watch battles regularly. Lunayuna did impressive techniques and that was it, Waackxxxy danced to the music better (e.g music as a whole not just beat by beat) and the explanation is above.
This was fair, I thought LunaYuna would take the win as she had a better flow and her round was more complete. But you never know with judges, but they agreed with my opinion too.
When ppl say it was choreographed? If it really was you must be insanely good to time the music to throw in a choreo during a battle. If Luna really did, it didn't look like a routine at all. Also dancers who battle day in day out, throw in 50% the same moves and perhaps some sequences each round as your muscle memory just does the job. This goes for every dancer, how to keep things fresh for yourself and for judges. That's the hardest challenge. I do both freestyle and have done choreo too. I will say doing freestyle is much easier than doing a choreo especially in a battle. I have seen Sean Lew trying to throw in a choreo in a dance battle event (Radikal Forze Jam) in Vietnam, that didn't went well.
@@D_JIM99 I don't believe this was choreograph. But for the record, Korean street dancers are very good at doing a choreograph routine to a RANDOM song. You can see it in group battles where they dance together with very clean timing even though it wasn't the music they practice to. I don't know much about western side 'cause they barely choreograph group battles. Also most korean street dancers are great at studio dances, and they literally have an entire university for it. It's very competitive that's why even the choreographers have great basics in their freestyle.

Yes I'm familiar with Korean Street Dance, I have seen most of the Korean dance shows even before SMF and SWF 1 and 2. I know there are many famous dance studios like 1Million and Just Jerk to name a few. But a routine in dance battles is always recognisable. I also know in China they are good in choreo group battles, well I have seen all Street Dance China shows and know several dance studios. Being a good choreographer for sure their basics are great but you can see the difference when you battle a pro in freestyle. For example in SWF2 battles you would see Babysleek would crush anyone against a choreographer in the show. Waackxxy would have the upper hand over Kirsten anytime in 2 or 3 rounds. But w/choreo's the chance of a mistake is just a high and never looks/feels natural during a battle (for those who are familiar with the battle scene and who are dancers themselves). In Europe there are many professional battle events, it's less about choreo but in 3 vs 3 or 2 vs 2 usually they do routines in battles.

i dont think it was choreographed, yes it is practiced as a "power move" that you could just use anytime as your weapon, but the whole thing wasn't choreographed at all. I feel waackxxxy lost cuz tho shes technically great, her battle here was not much of an impact and prolly the judges have seen some of her moves before so it wasn't as exciting as before. Waackxxxy is great nonetheless.

배틀하는 곳에서 배틀을 단판으로 줄여버릴만큼 중요한게 뭐라고 단판으로 한건지 화려한 라인업이 아쉬울 따름 음악도 댄서들한테 안맞는 음악이 많았어서 기량 발휘도 못하고 그냥 끝나버린 경기도 많고 이 배틀도 보니까 이렇게 만나서 배틀 또 언제해볼까 싶어서 더 아쉬움 음악 나올때마다 MC는 땡큐 DJ 연신 외쳐대고 외국에 대단한 누구를 모셔왔다 자랑하기 바쁘고 댄서들 아쉬워하는거 보면서 이걸 계기로 자극받아서 더 성장해서 올거라는등 어떤 취지인지도 알겠고 틀린말은 아닌데 본인들 입으로 내뱉으니까 모양새가 좀 그렇지 않나 싶음 화려하기만하고 실속이 없는 느낌? 라인업 배틀 점점 규모도 커지고 발전 위해서 노력하는것도 알지만 더 잘할 수 있는거 알아서 그런지 아쉬운 소리 하게 되네요

원래 2라운드가 맞는데 배틀이 너무 딜레이돼서 1라운드로 변경됐어요. 대관한 곳이 대관시간이 엄격한 곳이라 어기면 다음에 라인업을 저 장소에서 하지못하게될수도있어 정한거라고 들었습니다. 라인업 관계자분들 최선을 다하셨으니 재밌게봐주세요 ❤
