Love this! I’m Canadian…my Grandfather was an orphan in Bath and left for Canada at 16. Have recently found his family background through Ancestry. Seeing some of where he grew up well over 100 years ago through your eyes has been wonderful. Thank you!
I have watched you 2 since ep 1. I have fallen in love with you both. I am nearly 73 and walking is getting harder by the day, so I'm seeing the world through your eyes and curiosity. I love the boat and wish I could do it. I live in Michigan, U S and we have the Soo locks at the northern edge of the upper peninsula. If you ever get here, be sure to visit them. To see 700 foot plus freighters up close from the viewing platform as they pass through is awe inspiring. Thank you both so much for what you do.
Hi guys , you just brought back some lovely memories. I I used to pick my daughter up in front of the mansion you can see as you sail away in your last clip. She would have been around 6 at that time. We used to throw sticks into the canal from the old iron bridge. She is 27 now, and I am a proud Grandpa 🤗. Thanks for a great video. All the very best to you both ❤
Currently planning a trip to England the fall of 2025 so that I can attend a needlework symposium in the Cotswolds and the husband can finally visit the kitchens at Hampton Court. Bath is definitely going to be on the list of places to visit! Thank you for sharing the sites with us!
Love the start to your video.with the walk and you telling us the history of the canal. And seeing the swans and the deep beautiful views as you are going down the canal.so looking forward to next week's video.Have a lovely week both of you.😊😊
sad you didn't make it down to the river- last time we were there, we turned right on the Avon and moored by the leisure centre [£5 including free use of showers and pool], just below the horseshoe falls below Pulteney Bridge- 5 star location in your own personal hotel! 😀. maybe another time- great vid
Another beautiful video of life on the canal. The architecture of the buildings along the canal in Bath was so so historic. Great video and as usual superb backing music. Best wishes guys.
When you were looking over the edge into Deep Lock, I was thinking, “Don’t fall in!” Cool, you did another custom commercial! Always look forward to them and how you present the sponsors product. They are always fun to watch. Appreciated the stuff you pointed out like the rope marks on the bridge. As always, looking forward to your next video!
Ula & Josh ,Thank you for the lovely scenery on your video, which brought back lovely memories of our walk so far to Bath. Won't be able to give you a wave as we are walking west to Bristol this year. Good luck to your eastern adventure.
Love the winter vlogs on the canals. I so love watching you two, you give off such peaceful vibes, for want of a better word. You have a spare £1M Josh and you can have a water front property, it really is a pretty area though. That is really scary that lock. Take care guys. 💕
Great video. Im so envious. What a life yall must live ! Im in the United States of America. GEORGIA , The peach state! I love watching yall . ❤ thats a lot of miles between us . Xoxo
Hiya.. such great scenery... how cold was it on the boat, huge amount of steaming coming off Josh's mugs.. loved the swans flying, jus amazing. Take care and have a great week xx
Lovely video, sort of calm and restful. You went under a bridge numbered 181. Was that the Holcombe Bridge near the Claverton Pumping Station? Such beautiful country. I just read about the land slippage on the Oxford Canal due to the heavy rain a couple of weeks ago. Have you heard of any problems along the Kennet and Avon Canal?
You are showing me places that I will not likely visit. I am enjoying the Ride…Being from the States, we do not have the Dated Structures and Canals. Stunning. Thank you both.
Hey guy's I'm not sure if I've asked this before (apologies if I have) are there no permanent moorings on the canals or at least area's to stay for a month or so ?...see you both in episode 38...thank you for sharing xo 💜🇦🇺
Hi @carltongirl95, there are Marinas that you can pay a fee to stay, approx £15 a night, and for that fee you can use all of the Marina facilities. If you want to stay on the tow path, you are limited by the location and can only stay 2, 7 or 14 days depending on the signage as these locations are busy and sought after. You can get very frustrated when some moorers over stay their timing and stop others from enjoying that location.
OMG guys welcome back, it feels like it has been forever, missed you. Considering the wear on the stonework from the ropes, here are some things to JUST think about. How long did the ropes last before requiring replacement? How long were they and what did they weigh? Now the million dollar/pound question is what did those ropes cost the boat owner? Alberta, Canada
that there isn't going to be anymore vlogs on said boat. But its nice to hear you will be doing more vlogs along the way. Was waiting for you to reach the Ashby canal But that's down the swanee now😁😁 .@@UlaandJosh
There seems to be an awful lot of UK youtubers endorsing this kind of product at the moment. Apart from the monumental cost and ridiculous amount of plastic packaging, the air miles involved in shipping this from Texas once a month is outrageous. Lovely video though
No to all the little plastic bottles. There is more plastic in the world than sea life now or something. Buy fresh ginger, celery ,turmeric whatever and and make yr own.
Dear Ula and Josh. Well long story short. Myself and my good Lady are thinking about selling up and buying a Narrow boat. My good lady has discovered your channel. Just a couple questions if I may. Roughly what was your budget when you bought your boat. Forgive me if thats too personal. I’ll totally understand. Just wanna see what you get etc xx. Soon to ask many more questions 😊. Where about are you now? What canal?
Hy there you two, great to hear from you, thank you for reaching out! If we can help you achieve this dream, then we are more than happy to help with your questions. We bought ours for around 50k and ended up spending about 7k on a hefty electrical set up, so I'd say around 50-60k would get you a boat that's solid and nice looking that functions well. We are currently on the Kennet and Avon canal. Look forward to hearing from you soon guys. All the best! Ula and Josh x

That stone cottage is exactly what I would want my tiny home to look like, with stained glass arch windows 😍

My nerves were wrecked everytime you went near the edge of the deep lock😱🤢🥴😵💫
How Boaring lol
Thanks 😊 sometimes life is boring
Blimey …. What an unnecessary and negative comment… or is it a “joke” given the apparent spelling error?
