Adam Lambert has done the same thing for Brian. On the 2017 tour, during one song smoke would blast out from the floor & Adam gently tugged on Brian's arm mid performance to move him away from the eruption. After, Brian was visibly appreciative to Adam.
Every single time I see these very dear people on the stage I have a goosebumps and tears in my eyes. They are unique. I want to thank The Queen for the impact on my music taste. There's nothing like The Queen. Unique
Couldn't have said it better! Unfortunately I never got to see them live, but whenever they were in the states, my Older brothers were able to see the show/concert! Plus we still hear people say that they were the best at 1985 LIVE AID, so..that's saying a lot!
First saw Queen way back in 73 when they supported Mott the Hoople, at the time I had no idea who this band was, we used to go to see top bands of the day once a month and never thought that highly of support bands until I saw Queen, the stage was dark and the start of Now I'm Here cut through that darkness, with a few flashes of light on Freddie until the "I'm just a...." where the stage just lit up and you just knew that this was going to be a world class band, my love for Queen started that night and has never diminished. Saw them many times after that and feel so lucky I did, what times my generation lived through.

When I worked the soundboard for Kim Mitchell, I can’t tell you enough how crucial a proper and disciplined soundcheck was. When the band knew it was right, then could relax a bit more on stage.

This was really interesting , I'm in a Queen Tribute Band and I know a lot of what Brian and Roger were talking about but it's good to hear their experience first hand , especially that thing Brian spoke about, for continually improving the sound and the set. I wish for two things. A "deep cuts" tour, and new music. Re the "deep cuts" idea - while I love the live shows with Adam, they are very repetitive year after year. Maybe a new song here and there, but the core seems not to have changed much. Indeed, much of the core is the Live Aid set. Wonderful to hear, but with something like 15 studio albums, there is SO MUCH material that we have not heard, it would be great to refresh the whole set list. I get that some songs are not amenable to a live performance, but there is a ton of material we have never heard that is. Maybe pick one or two songs off each album.
