Lovely journey and a very good driver. I'm amazed how Bicester has changed since I used to drive through it in the 80's. I live in Bedford, I'm going to make use of my o.a.p. bus pass and take a trip on the X5. I'll take my flask and sandwiches, looks like a good day out.
Went under the 'new' HS2 bridge between Buckingham and Bicester - reused Great Central Line rail bridge that closed 50 or 60 years ago. As I mentioned before, shame this X5 no longer goes all the way to Cambridge.
And i should boast, now I have my 'senior' person bus pass -received two days ago, I am officially old - I could do this handy route for free as the MK stop is very close...
