What I hate about booking champions in this game is that its random. You can't book the skill you actually need. And the game knows what skills you are your priority to book and it always books those useless skills first (those most likely need 7-8 books to complete) and then it will let you book your needed skills. This is madness
Absolutely! I came to Raid through a random online bonus offer 21 days ago, first time i'd heard of it. I spent the first week floundering, hit youtube in the hope of help and now don't do anything without checking in with Ash, HH and Colred first! They have gotten me to level 41, a 6* starter and a rosta of 4* Rares, at least 5 of which were on this video. This really helped shape the direction of my gameplay. Thanks Ash
I've only been playing this for about 6 months and from the beginning War Priest with a 5* frost set and 5* weapon and shield keeps me alive in the arena as well as dungeons. I don't spend a cent on the game so its a bit difficult to keep up in the arena or advance in the dungeons and crypts. It takes a lot of time for me to learn the nuances of different types of buffs and everything else. I'm sure if I started a fresh game I could advance much faster, but for a first time beginner, the monkey king and war priest would be my first two picks to level up to 60. Sun Wu is still at 4* life steal with two replacements of 5* now. When I realized that Easy, Normal, Brutal and Nightmare levels were a thing on campaigns, Using those two champions got me through finishing Easy and Normal and part of Brutal in about two days.
Hey Ash love your videos they helped me thru a dark time my mom passed July last year cancer she was wheelchair bound the last 7 years of her life I gave up everything to to take care of her she was a handicapped teacher for 40 yrs her brother was handicapped so it was just her nature to help those less fortunate I took up raid a couple yrs ago f2p never have any money 2 yrs ago my son's mom disappeared so I've had my him since. After my mom passed my dad's dementia kicked in hard he's 92 this July they were married 57 yrs so I have a quiet difficult life and on top of all that I lost my raid account due to lost my phone somewhere at my dad's last doctor's appointment and can't remember my email password and have 2step activated so I'm just screwed had all the f2p legendarys on it. Your videos help me get thru the raid fixes. FYI I have social anxiety bad so I never really talk to anyone but just wanted to say thanks for all you do with charity and entertainment sry if this comes out jumbled don't message much .. keep up the good work

Ash is a hero, a real advocate for those that need it. I'm with you guys, lost my Biological father at 12, luckily had a great step father as a role model, I lost my mother about 7 yrs ago, then my step father about three yrs ago. Its difficult to lose people and takes time to recover and adjust to life without them there to laugh with us, or guide us when were feeling low, its an emptiness we can only really band aid and move past. Best wishes for all with your losses.
I hope for you that your dark times are gone. My dark times are still to come. I love my Mum and Dad...and the forecast to live without one of them is devastating.
I've been playing around with an arena team (Gold V) consisting of 2 Ironclads in stoneskin/stun sets, Woad-Painted for the healboom, and Prince Kymar for the speed lead, buff strip, & cooldown. It's pretty insane. If I go first, I win about 60% of the time. What's crazy is my team power is just over 100K & I can take out teams in the 300k range.

everytime i got stuck i look here for some background infos. my clanmates are awesome but they almost everytime end up gloryfying their own heros in the end. so you got a push in a direction and than must find it on your own. got to CB 5 just by changing my cardiel and Grazuur after your guides ^^ from not even getting CB4 with 1 key to 1 key in CB5 in 1 day. :D thank you so much.
Your channel is the best. Love the edits they crack me up and make my day everytime. The way you explain things has helped me so much not being so disappointed with the game. Went on a rampage and was spending way too much and not getting nothing in return no legendaries, so many shards. Have stopped reassessed and just have been trying to get my great hall and better gear better. Thank you for all you do and just being a great person!

Selinia Nightcloak is freakign awesome and was a nobrainer 6-star for me. For the longest time I only had Artak and Kallia that could burn and Selinia, during her fusion acquisition I specifically went for her and got 2 from that. For the faction wars, I use both of them together with Supreme Elhain, Lonatharil, Reliquary Tender to defeat the stage 21 boss with full stars. Both Selinia's do quite some damage and burns land quite good. Outside of Coldheart she's probably the rare that sees the most action to this day.
Should give an honourable mention to Tolog. If you get him early and don't have another reviver (i.e. if Shaman is replaced by a 7 day log in lego), he's very useful. I started a second account as a self-referral at the same time my wife started playing. As this was during the Ratholos event, we didn't get Shaman, and both of us got Tolog early. Very handy, and both of us are sill using him, although we'll both get Scyl in about a week which will render him redundant except for maybe 3v3 and faction wars.

Treeshield was GOAT for my Faction Wars with Tirlac being close second. Tree is 5 Star awakened for me... Miracle heal is worth it if you need help for healing with stuff like Sand Devil otherwise Survival Instinct is nice or emergency heal if you have a bloodshield accessory for him.
@etherealdragon123 never used him. I cleared all fw 3☆ with off norm champs. I have a 5☆ lvl 21 Treeshield sitting in my vault that I originally intended to use as food. But I haven't cuz he's helping fill my guardians
I feel like you're selling the Banner Lords short, Chevalier has increase def and continuous heal on his A3 and his A1 ignores block damage and shield buffs. Additionally, Conquerer has block revive on his A3 and finally, Spymaster with the Counter Attack and Provoke on his A3, Block Buffs on his A2 and his A1 extends debuffs, not bad kits for rare Banner Lords
6☆ Tirlac !! He deserves it in full he does a ton of work anywhere, Athel is my starter over 5 years( before oficial release, a long ,loooong time ago) and still does❤ and now Selina,looks awesome and worth 6☆ my opinion, I feel the same for Dagger I loved her!

I'm a bit of a early to mid gamer, I watch a lot of CC's for help and advice but always wonder about Gator as he has a remove all debuffs on a 3 turn cooldown is this ability not handy in early game or is it because no one likes the rest oh his kit?

Selinia from high elves was actually used as a Ninja replacement in Godseeker sand devil (honorable mention.) Upcoming rework may prove otherwise, but worth noting. Great content Ash!
Tested FroBo & Petrifya Rockroot with same builds... I'm afraid Petri takes it; in CB at least. My runs with Petri @ 50 did more damage than FroBo @ 60! That's the CB Team's total damage every time. FroBo may do more individually; but, PR's broader skill set results in a higher number for the whole team.
I agree with Dagger buff.. I got her from Void shard after like 1.5 year so she wasn't much useful to me. I feel tempted to upgrade Valerie over to lvl 60 :D also.. lvl 50 doesn't cut it for most of us mid-game,late game free 2 players since we dont have that many upgrades or gear to work with and putting rare champion to lvl 60 that gives him +25% to stats, that's huge!

Hey Ash, I've got a couple of questions. Given that they are about to add the Epic empowerment would it make more sense to empower an epic or to keep the copy in Faction Guardians? I've only ever empowered one Legendary so this isn't something I've dealt with a lot. Arena power ranking ... am I right in that the more champs you have in total the higher they rank you. So ... if you are a collector player you are hurting your ability to find easy arena teams to farm? Great vid, thanks.
I feel this is angled on the perspective of someone with many epics and legos tbh. I have a secondary account where I only allow rares and below to be used and the orcs have some great options. Veteran is a great clan boss/dungeon tank, decent damage, block buffs, dec attk. Raider has insane damage output multipliers so is a great nuker. Totem has aoe decrease defense, it is the weaker version but you can use the new blessings to make it land as the bigger version. Frozen Banshee is definitely worth a 6 star, she is the only damage you need for clearing all levels of dragon up to and including 20 normal (as well as clan boss UNM).
Pulled renegade on my account 3 yrs ago have been using her since at lvl 50 I actually maxed her out the other day. One problem that plarium needs to change tho is if multiple copies of her is on a squad they can cooldown each other
Ash you gotta talk about Sentinel in Barbs, he's so overlooked. He can duo Magma dragon even up to hard with good gear. Very strong provoker and Tank and can even do a fair bit of damage if you can squeeze the stats.
Most likely it would be worse then a epic, so in general i would say no. But such heros can be helpful in the cursed city on the awakening level (because you can set the other heros more freely). Personally i am looking for control on my rares, good and often aoe can make this a good decision but not a priority to bring them right aewaay to sixty then wont be game changing.
I think the only major difference have with this list is Eviscerator. I only really paid attention to her because I have her at 5* Awakened. As such she can do some real damage. I also think her passive is pretty interesting, she'll attack an enemy if they get a buff. I did make a mistake taking her to 60 though. Should have definitely left her at 50. Still she's worth lookin into...
I am a new player and my first void shard pull was Kurzad Deepheart. I put full mastery and 18 books on him and still dies frequently at brutal campaign :( He is currently lvl 50 and not sure he is worth taking to lvl 60. Could you help me how to build this little dwarf? :)

As far as Odachi is concerned, this Champion has got a Japanese theme, so if you're old enough to remember Hitachi stereos, it's most likely pronounced the same way... Hi-TA-chi... _O-DA-chi._ And by the way, it's ok if you're stoned and long as you do things responsibly. No high driving, making your kids go hungry or be homeless so you can get high, etc...
It's upsetting that you didn't bring up lifetaker in shadowkin. She's kinda awesome. Especially for a rare. Also, I haven't watched all of it so you may bring it up, but hexweaver has a aoe heal that can be booked to 45% heals on a 3 turn cool down. It's kind of an awesome heal.
I feel like you should at least put hellfreak in honorable mention just because he has a cool ability that swaps hp with the enemy you can have some fun with this one
yea fellhound is still worth taking to 6 star as a campaign farmer since he can do it in 3 secs and you can change kael's build to better suit him for cb or arena or wherever else you use him, depending on your account.
here is a noob question. what do you use 5 star champions (level 50) for? Faction wars? is that capped at 50? Finally my boy Fleshmonger gets his day in the sun. That Tornado cleaver is solid. But I think he needs some rework, like, lower the CD on it or make 1 book go to the CD of Tornado cleaver. I'm telling you, he hits harder than Athel does, just not as often as her and that is the problem. Athel is my favorite of all the starters, her kit is so good. Dude.. I pulled over 1K mystery shards for April fool's day and I didn't get a single Apothecary. That said, I do have him, but I didn't get a single one from all 1000 shards.
Sounds balanced to me. The one hits hard but less often, the other hits less hard but more often. Without knowing numbers, the implication is equal DPS.
I want a peseant faction. Just a bunch of poor towns folk with pitch forks and random weapons like brooms, and pitch forks. That, or a faction souls for insects. I need a centipede champ.
Plarium is cheating on us. They release a new hero and promise certain performance charakteristics, which makes me wanting this champion. I want to have this hero and buy a lot of stuff to get him. I pay to get the hero with these warranted characteristics. These performance charakteristics are a liability concerning information. When they nerf the paid champion, it is like betraying and stealing money with misinformation about this hero. For example: I pay and spend money to get a Mercedes with 1000 PS. Then Plarium come around and say: Oh, this champion is too strong and not as meant to be. You get the Mercedes, but now ist has only 200 PS. But i paid money, because they promoised me 1000 PS. I am so angry about this. How do you feel about?
Im surprised you didnt give Gator an honorable mention, he has a 3 turn cooldown full clense on his A3, sure its the only good part of his kit but the skill itself is still really good.
Castigator got me to 3 star Stage 21 faction wars; his heal kept my team up through the 21 minutes it took me to beat the red boss. I know he's not the best rare, but he isn't as bad as you and Hades make him out to be.
I just got FB, she's pretty solid in clan boss. Not my highest damage dealer, but I also don't have her masteries done yet. And I took her to 5* right away, might do 6 eventually.

Farm Diabolist, the speed boosting helps in arena specially if you can get her above 200

Tested FroBo & Petrifya Rockroot with same builds... I'm afraid Petri takes it; in CB at least. My runs with Petri @ 50 did more damage than FroBo @ 60! That's the CB Team's total damage every time. FroBo may do more individually; but, PR's broader skill set results in a higher number for the whole team.
I agree with Dagger buff.. I got her from Void shard after like 1.5 year so she wasn't much useful to me. I feel tempted to upgrade Valerie over to lvl 60 :D also.. lvl 50 doesn't cut it for most of us mid-game,late game free 2 players since we dont have that many upgrades or gear to work with and putting rare champion to lvl 60 that gives him +25% to stats, that's huge!

Hey Ash, I've got a couple of questions.
Given that they are about to add the Epic empowerment would it make more sense to empower an epic or to keep the copy in Faction Guardians? I've only ever empowered one Legendary so this isn't something I've dealt with a lot.
Arena power ranking ... am I right in that the more champs you have in total the higher they rank you. So ... if you are a collector player you are hurting your ability to find easy arena teams to farm?

I feel this is angled on the perspective of someone with many epics and legos tbh. I have a secondary account where I only allow rares and below to be used and the orcs have some great options. Veteran is a great clan boss/dungeon tank, decent damage, block buffs, dec attk. Raider has insane damage output multipliers so is a great nuker. Totem has aoe decrease defense, it is the weaker version but you can use the new blessings to make it land as the bigger version. Frozen Banshee is definitely worth a 6 star, she is the only damage you need for clearing all levels of dragon up to and including 20 normal (as well as clan boss UNM).
Pulled renegade on my account 3 yrs ago have been using her since at lvl 50 I actually maxed her out the other day. One problem that plarium needs to change tho is if multiple copies of her is on a squad they can cooldown each other
Ash you gotta talk about Sentinel in Barbs, he's so overlooked. He can duo Magma dragon even up to hard with good gear. Very strong provoker and Tank and can even do a fair bit of damage if you can squeeze the stats.

Most likely it would be worse then a epic, so in general i would say no. But such heros can be helpful in the cursed city on the awakening level (because you can set the other heros more freely). Personally i am looking for control on my rares, good and often aoe can make this a good decision but not a priority to bring them right aewaay to sixty then wont be game changing.
Does Master butcher ability works with Geomancer or does it cancel it out. I just realize I have both these guys.
Hey ash! Been watching for a while, I recommend looking into the rare dwarf stout axeman he’s a easy 5 star for me.
I think the only major difference have with this list is Eviscerator. I only really paid attention to her because I have her at 5* Awakened. As such she can do some real damage. I also think her passive is pretty interesting, she'll attack an enemy if they get a buff. I did make a mistake taking her to 60 though. Should have definitely left her at 50. Still she's worth lookin into...
I am a new player and my first void shard pull was Kurzad Deepheart. I put full mastery and 18 books on him and still dies frequently at brutal campaign :( He is currently lvl 50 and not sure he is worth taking to lvl 60. Could you help me how to build this little dwarf? :)

As far as Odachi is concerned, this Champion has got a Japanese theme, so if you're old enough to remember Hitachi stereos, it's most likely pronounced the same way... Hi-TA-chi... _O-DA-chi._
And by the way, it's ok if you're stoned and long as you do things responsibly. No high driving, making your kids go hungry or be homeless so you can get high, etc...

It's upsetting that you didn't bring up lifetaker in shadowkin. She's kinda awesome. Especially for a rare. Also, I haven't watched all of it so you may bring it up, but hexweaver has a aoe heal that can be booked to 45% heals on a 3 turn cool down. It's kind of an awesome heal.

Ash, take a peak at ogryn tribes void, Mycolus. He is a massive healer with shield, ally protect, And his passive absorbs another 5% of allies damage.

yea fellhound is still worth taking to 6 star as a campaign farmer since he can do it in 3 secs and you can change kael's build to better suit him for cb or arena or wherever else you use him, depending on your account.

Finally my boy Fleshmonger gets his day in the sun. That Tornado cleaver is solid. But I think he needs some rework, like, lower the CD on it or make 1 book go to the CD of Tornado cleaver. I'm telling you, he hits harder than Athel does, just not as often as her and that is the problem.
Athel is my favorite of all the starters, her kit is so good. Dude.. I pulled over 1K mystery shards for April fool's day and I didn't get a single Apothecary. That said, I do have him, but I didn't get a single one from all 1000 shards.
Sounds balanced to me. The one hits hard but less often, the other hits less hard but more often.
Without knowing numbers, the implication is equal DPS.

Athel is a great campaign farmer. She is no 8 second campaign farmer, but can get it under 15 seconds easy.

Plarium is cheating on us. They release a new hero and promise certain performance charakteristics, which makes me wanting this champion.
I want to have this hero and buy a lot of stuff to get him. I pay to get the hero with these warranted characteristics. These performance charakteristics are a liability concerning information.
When they nerf the paid champion, it is like betraying and stealing money with misinformation about this hero.
For example: I pay and spend money to get a Mercedes with 1000 PS.
Then Plarium come around and say: Oh, this champion is too strong and not as meant to be. You get the Mercedes, but now ist has only 200 PS. But i paid money, because they promoised me 1000 PS.
I am so angry about this.

Im surprised you didnt give Gator an honorable mention, he has a 3 turn cooldown full clense on his A3, sure its the only good part of his kit but the skill itself is still really good.
I used level 40 Odachi in Stone Skin to get my through the last FW boss - clutch!
Castigator got me to 3 star Stage 21 faction wars; his heal kept my team up through the 21 minutes it took me to beat the red boss. I know he's not the best rare, but he isn't as bad as you and Hades make him out to be.
Odachi is damm good..little guy..but moves fast hits pretty good ash...
Frozen banshee is still my go to rare for that clan boss quest.
I just got FB, she's pretty solid in clan boss. Not my highest damage dealer, but I also don't have her masteries done yet. And I took her to 5* right away, might do 6 eventually.
Same she's the only reason why I can get the best chest on hard normal anf easy

campaign farmable would usually mean you can get/farm it in campaign stages.. for example Warmaiden is farmable from stage 9 (iirc, the sandy stage)
Also I have a fellhound but I don't use him. No matter what gear i put him in he just dies as the first champion. He is sooooo squishy for me I don't know what to do with him to be good
