How to Fold DIY : Origami Lily

Steps :
1) Make crease in the centre by folding in to half vertically and horizontally.
2) Turn the paper and make cross crease by folding with the corners to meet.
3) Now bring two centre crease together like shown above. you will get a triangle with 4 leaves.
4) Fold each leaf as shown above.
5) Turn the paper and start folding as shown.
6) Now fold the paper to make a vertical crease in the centre.
7) Now unfold and reverse fold the leaf against the crease in the centre like shown.
8) Do the same on all the four leaves.
9) Turn the paper and fold back as shown.
10) Fold the sides to meet at centre like shown.
11) Your lily is now ready.
Do not forget to unfold the petals :)

Would you ever consider reshooting this but significantly more slowly? While most of the video is doable at 0.25x, there are some times (such as @2:40-2:42) where there are entire frame skips that miss key details such as how many folds back we were supposed to go--and these can't be interpreted via changing speed. Only sleuthing through the video and messing up a few pieces of paper helps. Love the video--just wish it were slower!

This lily taught me a lot. I went through several stages of grief , false hope, agony, denial, faith and patience... after all this hard work I can proudly say it only took me a day and half's struggle to make it.

Do yourselves a favor and change the video to .25x speed. But even then, despite the music, this was FAR from a calming experience for me lol.

It's pretty easy, just very confusing, I managed to memorize it when I understood the general rule of it which is basically just making it symmetrical so you just gotta do the same thing to all four sides

tip: watch them do a few steps at a time, and then pause the video and do it yourself. it took me about 30 minutes(no sound), and it looks great! just take your time and remember to be patient.

thank you for this video - I managed to make a lovely lily with some pausing and rewinding! I would make one suggestion - it you could please use paper with a different color on each side it would be MUCH easier to follow. I find this with almost every origami video I watch. thanks again.

I followed this video all the way through. This is my second time making one and it took me about 25 minutes. The trick is to pause the video after every step cause putting the video at ×0.25 speed doesn't really work. And also being patient and trusting the process. I hope this helps . Happy creating💕

Exactly, and it's really not that 'fast'! Just watch it the first time to see how to do it and then pause it and do the folding on all four sides. It's not complicated, this is an excellent video!

I thought this would be calming, relaxing, finds out it did the exact opposite to me. This is so confusing.. Swans, birds, butterflies are so much easier to do.
Quick tip for everyone if this is too fast (like it was for me). Click the settings button on the video, click playback speed and change it to 0.5 or 0.25 and it’ll be way slower and easier to follow 😊

When I fold my Origami lily, it seems to end up with 3 Petals instead of 4 and with a different looking model.

Tried to follow the steps but failed. Probably because my paper is not symmetrical. The steps are actually really straightforward but just a bit too fast.

Mine kept falling apart it didn't work at all
Followed this step by step and still couldn't get it to work like he did at 2:00. People need to make these things slower and show EXACTLY what to do and stop making them so fast to where we have to pause every two seconds. Especially since most of the time his hands are in the way and I have no idea what he is doing.
