3 The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because in his early years he
he walked in the ways that his father David had followed.
4 He did not consult the Baals, but sought the God of his father and obeyed his commandments, and did not imitate the practices of Israel.
9 They went through all the cities of the kingdom of Judah,
taking with him the Book of the Law of the Lord and teaching the people.
10 The fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms around Judah, so that they did not go to war with Jehoshaphat.
12 Jehoshaphat became more and more powerful;
he built strongholds and store cities in Judah,
13 where he kept a huge amount of supplies.
He also kept experienced fighting men in Jerusalem.
2 He stationed troops in all the fortified cities of Judah and placed garrisons in Judah and in the cities of Ephraim which his father Asa had conquered.
