    at first I thought that this was Jeux de Eau by Maurice Ravel, but there is a melody singing in the beginning (and the audiences laugh at this).. can anyone tell me what that is? and waait, there's also a few excepts from Une Barque sur l'Ocean around a quarter part in the end.. sooo, Sciarrino mingled these two of Ravel's compositions together.. so cunning (bravo!!).. but this makes me yearn for more explanation of why this performance is so short..

      Puerile? As the soul of God, thankfully.
      Un-artistic? Nope, unless you've never heard of harmony or counterpoint or phrasing and you believe music don't have to be worked out and elaborated and just pops out of somebody's forehead, in this case, granted.
      Embarrassing? Now it sounds like somebody who needs to learn about laugh, having fun as part of living, and working in order to enjoy your work and have fun at the end. Human experiences. You can Google those.

    • @JohnBorstlap
      @JohnBorstlap 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Obviously a comment from someone who never dealt with music professionally. How pleasant must be a life without distinctions.... and how easy.

    • @lucadanieli1850
      @lucadanieli1850 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Said from a composer of contemporary classical music, yours is exactly that kind of posh behaviour that proves nothing and just pushes people away from listening to more serious stuff. But you'll be probably happy: you'll feel special

    • @JohnBorstlap
      @JohnBorstlap 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not 'serious stuff' at all.... it is a poor joke as any musical person can hear, damaging the original. Listen to the original piece and hear how serious THAT is. Painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa is a similar juvenile gesture, mostly by people who cannot do what such artists can. It is merely the little dog peeing at a stature. Only very primitive people, entirely ignorant of culture, think that an undertaking as this video presents, has to be taken seriously. They should keep to their own taste, pop music maybe, or other more appropriate entertainment, but they should not imagine that they can say something meaningful about art, or in this case: music.
