    He was not a libertarian aha. He was an Anarch but this isn’t to be confused with Anarchism or Libertarianism. He was a Militarist (Prussian Socialist) read Spengler for that. He despised democracy and free market capitalism. If anything he was Monarchist with a modern and technological bent. He was never a Nazi even though he served under them for a brief period. An Anarch is a individual as such but Junger believed most people were not merely individuals but a herd. The Anarch is expressed as the “great individual” who can separate from the herd. This is why his criticism of democracy was soo illicit after WW1. This would of been influenced by his readings on Nietzsche.
