The funny thing about that is when the Ikea top guy speaks English, he says that the way we do in English.

Bought like an entertainment center from ikea 22 years ago and still have it. The downsides are that it came in like hundreds of pieces of material to assemble and several days to finish it. The other problem is that once it’s assembled, it can’t betaken apart and reassembled.

What a huge IKEA here in Zagreb we have also one. Last Saturday I spent there few hours. After you enter there you have to walk through the whole complex before exit. There is also a large restaurant but definitely more expensive than one in Chiba prefecture.
The food you have chosen seems really jummy and you have obviously enjoyed your meal. By the way I have watched your short video dealing with living costs in Tokyo. You have done it in a charming and interesting way. I am sure that it is very informative for those planning to move to Tokyo. As for this short form in my opinion it woud match for your short Japanese lessons, as well. Keep on walking!!!

At the Ikea in Milwaukee we have a "veggie" hot dog that is really very tasty! I don't like their meatballs because I don't think they taste very authentic. To me, they taste just like a store frozen meatball. My grandparents are from Sweden and I have my grandma's swedish meatball recipe and it tastes a lot better than Ikea's. Ikea is a fun place to go. I would like to stay in Chiba prefecture if and when I ever get to Japan as my home base for traveling around. Thank you for your video! We ❤️ your content 🙂🇸🇪

    Dear Rion
We have in Paris 2 Ikea Store, i go every monday to drink a good caffee and to eat bread with cinnamon
The price here is very very cheap the coffee is free with the family card Ikea. If i drink 2 coffees and eat
2 breads with cinnamon it cost 1,75 euros (150 yens !!!) The ice cream is 1,00 and the vegetarian sandwich saussage 0,50 euros !!! I love ikea of course since many years.
I love also to look your video. bye Alain

Thank you for presenting the Ikea-store in Funabashi! I was wondering, what kind of furniture Ikea will sell in Japan, due to Japan's limited room spaces. Now I have an idea of their items.
    - The restaurant's food is almost same sizes to German's Ikea-Restaurant's portions. And with these prices is really amazing.
    - Speaking of store's size: It is in about same size of any stand-alone German Ikea-store. I do not know the store sizes in Sweden though... I guess they have a world wide store concept looking anywhere same as possible.
    - I was astonished that Ikea-Japan also sells wooden toys at "normal" prices as I heard that toys made from wood is really really expensive in Japan...
    - Ikea the name in Germany will be spoken, like in Japan "I-k-e-a" and not like "Ai-Ki-ai" (IKEA = Ingvar Kamprad, from Elmtaryd and Agunnaryd)
    Nice video!
BTW: I know of shopping center "LaLaGarden" in Tsukuba. Are the prefix "LaLa"-Shopping centers belonging to one owner, like Mitsui coorperation?

Gotta love Japan's Ikea! It reminds me of Ikea in Karlstad, Sweden where I lived many years ago. If you come to my country (Thailand), the food zone is sort of hell. It's always PACKED with PEOPLE. Customers are just every where, and we hardly ever find nice spot to sit. Thank you for upload good video for a relieved mind. :)

I helped a German friend say W in English by practicing a word he knows in German: auto. The "Au" sounds more like "Ow", as their W sounds like V, the V sounds like F, and the F sounds like a stronger F. He just had to get the "O" up front muted. It worked, not perfectly, but better than expected 😁

  • @shoiku4734

You said it correctly while going up the escalator. The correct original Swedish pronunciation is "E-Kea" (which sounds better). The English pronunciation (US/Europe) is "I-Kea". Wish I was in Japan Ikea--the food looks way better than Singapore's Ikea & Turkey's Ikea. And wow! The variety of drinks you have is amazing.// The word, "furniture" has no plural form. Many furniture is still "furniture".

I didnt know the drinks can just go & refill to another drink. Usually, I wlll get the same type of drinks, as they also hv many interesting flavours. I heard Japan now is open for travel (without a tour guide). We can see Japan is getting better now. oh btw, Rion u need a haircut.

Movie locations:- Tokyo Drift : the small bath house where they went to collect money, etc. Love Letter : the school (library) and obviously the "Ogenki Deska!" place. Battle Royale : the whole Island. Zatoichi : the village and obviously all of Kurosawa's masterpieces Ran, Rashomon (if the iconic gate still exists), etc. Kikujiro - the whole journey. I can list more if I sit and think about it.
Last but not least, because it's the most iconic drama during my teenage life, Beach Boys.

Funabashi Station and IKEA are so close 👌😃perfect ! 2:20-2:36 🤦🏻‍♀️🛝🤣. I really like this special vegetarian katsu curry rice🍛, the thin slice of salmon is also delicious without the sauce👌😋! 12:52-13:03 The donuts that haven’t eaten Halloween are so cute🍩👁😅, the music is scarier 😄,sparkling raspberry soda 🍹, a total of 1,400 JPY 😉👍👏, L and R pronunciations are often difficult to avoid saying standard sounds 😅👍(Rion…..Lion) ! Let's keep shopping in IKEA, the Raskog trolley at 4,499 JPY is not bad👍, 19:03-19:17 what a beautiful view and cool of Keibazyou🐎 ! , LaLa Port Tokyo Bay there are a total of three floors, wow! huge shopping malls. 21:31-21:44 The beautiful sunset in 滨町中央公园 🌇, 22:59-23:21 is because of the fountain drink 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣👏👍!

Keep on using the japanese pronounciation. It sounds as same as the swedish, original pronounciation.
I'm kinda allergic to anglicization of everything, so...good job there!
