Lastly, the fact that you can't even name any other notable players from his generation shows me your ignorance and lack of footballing knowledge. Pele's generation of Brazilian footballers had some of the most talented footballers to play the game including Garrincha and Jairzinho and there were tons of other footballing legends playing during Pele's era in Europe like George Best, Alfredo Di Stéfano, Ferenc Puskas, and Eusébio. Please dont be naive and do your actual research before you say something. Don't disrespect Pele, he is a legend and definitely one the best footballers to play the game if not the best. Looking at the argument from a completely neutral standpoint it is quite clear to see that Pele Messi Maradona Zidane and Cruyff were all on similar levels. Different eras, different competition. But they all dominated at the highest level. For me I still believe Zidane deserves a mention as the GOAT.
