E7 is one of my favorite gachas because the packs are so overpriced I legit don't get tempted to buy. Burning passion and the monthly $5 pack will always get me though

It’s about 500-900 (depending on rng) per 50 bms. So you could get anywhere from 80 to 150 with 1500 skystones. Consider that before spending.
In many game I've played, I only bought monthly, for the most part.
They're usually cheap and offer some good small resources daily. Which is good for casual like me
And it's same with E7, it's good value. Also now that they add +10 quick battling, makes me can go lazy with the daily lol
in my opinion, all gacha games are actually resource management game (including irl resources such as time + budget) with their normal game loop game type.

I'm a baby dolphin now, was ftp for a whole year, fell off the wagon hard, quit, came back for a sober year, and then became a baby dolphin (current). This man said no lies on these packs, careful with the gotcha "good packs"... Sit down and do the math and see if it's worth before spending
Meet more marketing people and you'll find out rather quickly most don't know what they're doing at all. They're just good at sounding like they do. And that's the problem.
You'd think they'd A/B test and find that sweet spot, but they actually don't.
They'll set one price and go, "Is it making enough money to make the shareholders happy? Great. Let's pack it up and go home. We must be geniuses who did our job to the best of its capabilities." And then shit never gets touched or tested again. You bring up a different pricing idea or model? Nope. That's crazy talk! "We made a bunch of money that one time with this system so even though we're not happy with the money we make now it couldn't possibly be the current pricing model. It worked once!" That's actually how this goes.
So they could possibly make quite a bit more if they revisited and revised their pricing, but it'll never happen ultimately due to hubris and ego.
thank god someone else is saying this - so many people think companies are stupid for doing the prices they and cheap packs for everyone will net more money then these expensive packs and they don't understand how the company is so stupid they don't see this... like no they know exactly what they are doing
Selling the lvl 70 gear is a huge slap in the face and money grab. It should be lvl 88 gear. You want new players to stick around do you not? I'm sure not a single mid-late player would care if newer players got 24 lvl 88 pieces of gear aka you could fully gear a team.
If they had something like Genshin welkin for mystics I would insta buy. Right now the prices are absurd for mystics so I stick with refreshing shop
The only time i buy are costumes. And it sucks tho that they took out the limited featured skin in epic passes

Yeah, I'm a dolphin (though I'm sure some can call me a whale, I can't disagree tbh) but the value of the packs definitely nosedived some 1-2 years ago. Like, there really isn't anything I want to spend on outside of the stamina packs when they come around. I'd like more mystics but those have always been the worst deals.
As a lifehack; E7 does have one of the "best" Google play point bonus if you whale in several games (or just buy a lotta stuff via Google products, doesn't have to be games. I've bought textbooks digitally that count lol). You can either get like 400 skystones per 400 points or some $8 off coupon for 400 points.
The conversion is 1:1, so you're talking $400 spent, so don't really plan around this. But if you already spent money, may as well use the points for something.
E7 store is a masterclass on wasted total potential revenue. They could easily average $10 mil/month if they would FIRE their formally educated monetization team and hire someone who actually loves and plays the game. Picture Blizzard hiring the red shirt guy before launching Diablo Dead Immortal. We all have phones. Their minds are in the wrong place.
What about the molagora mission packs? I heard you talk about the regular mola packs, and unless I zoned out for a second, I don't think you mentioned these packs.
I seriously begrudge dropping $100 (but, 66 molas on completion is a lot) and I don't know that I want to do it, but I literally just went down to 0 molas and I feel like I'm in mola hell right now. Earning four a week is painful. I only just managed to +14 Jenua. I've gotta wait so long to be able to build Shaltear and/or ML Politis if I don't spend. By that point, something newer and stronger will probably be out.
My gear luck will prevent me from ever being an emperor competitor, but I feel like my accounts slowing down compared to fellow friends and guild mates. I know gear will always outclass heroes and the gear gap is wild, but there have been a long string of very strong units out in this last year that's drained me up, and it doesn't really feel good having to limit what heroes im building to one very specific playstyle that I'll all in on, to try and save molas on units that aren't relevant to that style. I enjoyed being somewhat versatile with the units I could raise. These packs only really fix it for two units and them I'm back in mola hell, but I don't know what's out after Shaltear and ML Politis, and both of them seem very strong.
It's definitely not half the people buying 100 dollar packs, 100 dollar packs are whale packs, whales are like 1 to 2% of the playerbase.
I don't know man, their recent revenue numbers don't exactly scream "we know to price packs"
i would spend money on collab packs if they had bottles of knowledge...
The collab packs are usually a great value but this time around we seem to be getting watered down versions of them. I may do a separate video on that when they come out.
good thing they don't then. because the game would be infested with whales dominating the game.

Honestly it is really stupid because even if they have a whole 90 set to a new player even if they got to choose the set and it came with perfect sub stats it still would only help them so much it won’t do as much as there treating it like they think it would and if only new players can buy it then it’s just that bit amount of player and if it actually helps them and not a waste of money then they are more inclined to buy more stuff , and it would still not help them catch up to day one players or vets so just give them the help they need it and that’s just spit in the face
I'm kind of in that dolphin-whale spot for this game, whilst I'm a full whale in Summoners war. I'd say what this game lacks is the incentive to go full whale because their packs are SOOOO underwhelming these days. Once in a blue moon you get an enticing whale pack but those are so few and far between. The ones that are generally advertise I just ignore completely.
The only packs I will always buy without fail are the burning passion ones since it's so value (9$ total for 33 or so liefs is great). PLS Smilegate, give us better valued packs!
I love the game and like I dont mind the monetization, because yea idk, in the end this is a product a company puts out and they wanna make profit. Whenever I see people that are getting angry for gacha games asking you to fork over cash for something, I am so confused. Like, they arent running a game with running costs like paying the people working on it, keeping up the servers and probably more out of the sheer goodness of their heart. If I compare E7 to other gachas I played, I played a bunch of them, I would still say E7 is very fair with what you can expect to get out of the effort you put in. If I look at say FGO, which didnt even have a pity system until like a year or such ago, where you could sink all the fcking currency you farmed and saved over months just to get one unit and then you end up not pulling it once and which also ON TOP has really shitty value for your money in terms of currency you get for money...E7 is mighty generous in comparison.
If I had to say, the only things I am unsatisfied with is gearing, because it is just a lot of RNG and it can get pretty annoying (my opinion anyway) and mystic medals, because I personally got trouble getting them. I am in a guild I made with friends but not everyone is as active as me so we just keep on not getting guild wars for extended periods of time and then my only source of mystic medals is rolling down the shop forever, which can get equally frustrating if you are just really struggling to get the unit currently on banner. That is my current situation as well. I dont have the medals for ML Politis, but really want her because of honestly just her design. So I am rolling down shop praying for medals and that is about all I can do.
i just think 11 euros for 2 mystic summons is such trash, especially when you need 201 for pity. thats 1111 euros for 1 copy. but maybe they have to make that expensive since you never really have to buy regular bookmarks with how much you are getting from just playing the game
