In my country, when temperatures drop below 7 degrees Celsius, almost all drivers switch from summer tires to winter tires, although sometimes there are winters with almost no snow, and other times snow covers almost the entire country. But winter driving technique is also needed - making opposite movements of the steering wheel, slowly taking your foot off the accelerator, and although it will sound strange and surprising to inexperienced drivers - not using the brakes, especially when the car starts to turn sideways. Of course, almost every car has an ABS anti-skid system, but it ONLY works as long as the car is driving along the path expected by the driver. Such driving (e.g. on an empty large square) is good to practice in order to get rid of bad habits and feel how the car regains grip after a skid .
London is spectacular. I came back home on Thursday, which I think was the day it started to snow, and I just stayed at the Brittania Hotel you walk past at the beginning of the video. Great Job. Greetings and new follower from the Canary Islands
I wish we had snow here in India.....even though it snows in some parts of India..but very far to travel just to see snow from one corner to another corner of the country
When no one speaks, I default to X2 speed. It looks like a nice mild snowfall to me, but I had to take a foot of snow off my SUV to drive, yesterday, through dense fog and twisty mountain roads. I know London isn't used to this sort of snow, but it's old hat to Canadians. :) Don't worry, it'll probably be gone by next week for you, but we've got months of it yet. Jon in rural BC, Canada
Heavy snowstorm...... dont make me laugh. Try a lot farther north when we get a snowstorm your talking 6ft to 12ft drifts most paths upto 2ft to try and walk through. All london got is a few inches and everyone panics.
We used to have these typos snow ❄️ but it’s been few years now, so it was heavy indeed for us, and I know in Seoul always heavy snow ❄️ best of luck 🤞 and thanks for visiting 👍❤️😝
I had a flight scheduled for yesterday morning but British airways canceled my flight no bad thing to say about them they refunded me 100%. My hotel Holborn citadines doesn’t want to refund my 3 day stay for €540 I was as asked to give evidence and their email response was you have two weeks to inform us your new booking for 2023. I can’t decide what I’m going to do next year and if I’m available. Also they don’t want to refund me because I used a new member coupon I was offered 30% discount. And that makes the reservation non refundable according to them. Even if it’s not my fault. When I called they said oh no problem it’s not your fault let me call you back.. but after hours had past no call so I called back and the they told me to email. And every time they email me at the end of the working day not replying to emails for 24 hours. Also no response at their twitter account..and that’s one of the major hotel groups in the uk.. really soured my feelings for the uk..
@@Gambit771 your doing a good job of raising my opinion of the uk..blaming my opinion instead of supporting a fellow consumer. i specifically said consumer and not dutch vs uk. i'm not my whole country like your not the whole of UK..
@@vadimislearningguitar4977 agreed. i'm not angry with a country or a storm. i'm a bit upset with certain individuals. They hotel knew that my flight was canceled due to bad weather. And even the flight company recognized that i can not control weather. So they refunded me. But the hotel knows the problem and admits it's not my fault. But simply says rules are rules. Sorry but we will keep your money.. have a nice day.. i have taken my complaint to the main office to higher management.
Hope all is fine for everyone in this world.

If it wasn't for the Gulf Stream, UK and the rest of Europe would have winters more like this.

As a Korean who doesn't know about the climate in London, Is this degree of snowfall a rare in London?
My eldest has lived in London for some time and this type of snowfall is not that rare. The last 2 years were quite mild though.
@@waynesimpson2074 Thank you.
It's snowing in Seoul, too
Let's all watch out for icy roads

Idk which london the people in the comments live in but it never snowed like this in december since 2010 and never snowed like this since 2018

If one overpriced hotel has soured your opinion of the UK, then you couldn't have held much of an opinion of the UK to start with.
