RIP. I was chocked when I discovered. I entered animethemes to watch an op and there was a banner making an homage to her. Unfortunatly it's already down but I was glad she was recognized.
I haven't seen it mentioned on the comments so I'll take the hit: "Erased" is an adaptative name for the original "Boku dake ga Inai Machi" [The Town Without Me], that is also the title of Hinazuki's essay.
the name of that essay is "watashi dake ga inai machi" which shows us that hinazuki is that innocent girly girl. not tomboyish rebel girl actually. she just shy, awkward, and don't know how to talk with ppl. and with that kind of short hair style
@@DBT1007 "atashi dake ga inai machi" not "watashi".. "boku" is usually used by boys, "atashi" by girls. So "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" is a story about Satoru where he falls into a coma and leaves the city without him.
No really, in the manga the title is a direct reference to Satoru. That's why it starts with "boku" (masculine pronoun for I). It's about Satoru disconnect with people and his own feelings and how his sacrifice make him being erased for years, but he gained a future with the people he cares about.
Erased is not part of my top 10 anime but whenever I watch it. It has this different good vibe that gives me a really nostalgic feeling that I can't feel from any other anime.
8:31 The sentence in her essay sounds familiar to me. and I just found out that I’ve been watching a movie called ‘The Town Where Only I am Missing’. Turns out, it’s a live-action adaptation of this anime. That's why the first episode also seems familiar to me. But the essay that make me realise it
I wonder if the reason they use a blue butterfly for when his power activates is because of the “Butterfly Effect”. Considering most times it’s just a matter of noticing something and eventually calling attention to it for others to act and end up changing events. He is definitely going to cause a massive change considering he made a goal to save Hinazuki AND his mother through this “Revival”. Excited to see your reaction on upcoming episodes. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays.
I recommend this anime to friends who are hesitant to watch longer series. There’s so much story packed into 12 episodes and it’s great for newbies to get into. It’s not your typical anime. 10/10! Will watch again.
Besides Flow, there’s no other band that I associate with anime more than Asian kung fu generation. They’ve been featured in so many anime OPs in the past 20 years.
I wonder if the reacter realizes not only the time changed but the place, too. The adult Satoru lived in Tokyo, the boy Satoru lived in Hokkaido. Not every car and person is suspect.
I hope that you're okay. And that small delays are a result of Thanksgiving. In the same way as I will not be able to pay for Patreon for 1-2 days, because I will only have money on Monday. Sadly this is normal before big holidays.
happy thanksgiving!! really enjoying this show AHHHH
glad you're enjoying it Alana!!!
You are going to enjoy this classic i can guarantee you this as well
RIP to sayuri (singer of the ED)

I was so sad to know she passed away at such a young age... like really, it's just so sad to know how much she struggled

What was the cause of death? Some sort of disease or accident?
it was something about a disease that affected her voice

Ooh, I didn't know that.
This is my favorite of Kei Sanbe's works, so it's nice to learn something :) .

AKFG is the band who inspired Kessoku Band from Bocchi the rock
There's also a Kessoku Band of Re:Re (this OP song)

The opening is a must for every ep! You are gonna see slight changes from time to time that just feels satasfying
I watched this anime years ago around Thanksgiving time. I binged the whole thing in one night, and it was really snowy outside. Max immersion.
Besides Flow, there’s no other band that I associate with anime more than Asian kung fu generation. They’ve been featured in so many anime OPs in the past 20 years.
One of the most underrated anime out there. So refreshing to see you react to it! Thanks!
Things happen...
