@@HLDVR Smash Bros. is more of a 2.5D game than an actual 3D one, as you can't normally move in all directions. It would be neat to see a genuine 3D Smash-like game though (despite how difficult it would be to develop one).
Watching Simple lose all his lives to Wario's Castle after breezing through the rest of the game vindicates me because I got washed so hard when playing through SML2 and getting there and resorted to save states because I just couldn't do it thinking it was too hard. Seeing this confirms the final level really is a huge difficulty spike, thank you FimpleSips.

Even if so, they're referring to holding it in Yoshis mouth long enough that he actually eats the shell. In future Mario games he'll hold it indefinitely.

The concept art isn't a product that concept art isn't a product that ships to the customer with the game but sure, cannon lore seems to show Mario pointing and giving a command. You can still see Yoshi visibly struggling to follow some of your commands though. You're bossing an animal around and I can't blame someone for wondering what the ethics are there. Imagine if someone hopped on your back and was like "I'm not getting off until you eat the hot pepper."

It's weird how the levels somehow become gradually *less* Mario maker-ish as the marathon progresses. I miss the Kaizo blocks, the nonsensical dev blocks, and the general feeling of hopelessness and anxiety when you have one life left on a level you know you're going to die on to some hidden BS.

You could argue that this is the strongest Mario, because he has basically infinite hover and a spin jump that he can turn on and off at any time during his jumps.
He could definitely beat goku
SMW Mario can literally infinitely fly and gain height with it, and carry items while doing so and use it with spin jumping to get an incredibly high spin jump.
Similarly the Mario you're talking about does descend while hovering. So it isn't basically infinite.

we warned simple so many times that it resets and he was always like "nah it would never do that"
he also never learned you can just leave the bonus areas without doing them if you want

SMW is by far my favorit 2D Mario game. I love the mechanics and the overall aesthetic of the overworld and levels.
When simple mentioned "The Hard Level" I immediately knew which one he was talking about.
You can do that section without the cape as I have done it, it just requires very precise timing.

To me Mario Land 2 is the kind of game I probably would've loved way more if I played it as a kid. To me, the game is kinda like the 8-bit Sonic games, where there's a lot of cool ideas I wish would return, but the games themselves have weird physics and sloppy level design in places, especially when you have such a big character sprite in the middle of a small screen.
I remember doing races with my sister in the car on long trips. We would try to beat our best time to beat Wario. We got pretty damn good at this for being children.

I am late once again but i blame the org XIII this time. He upload in 9;30 pm but what i was doing this whole time?
