Yes good point. If I may add: the Nepalian Sarangi is much more closely related to the sarinda/geychak instruments which stretch all the way from Iran/Afghanistan, through north India and to Nepal. In the hands of someone who is as talented as this fellow, they are profoundly beautiful!

not these day. since in the old days nylon was not available in Nepal so guts were used for strings but these days nylon is used same as violin.
