Kifayah an Nabih Syarah at Tanbih from Ibn ar Rifah states that Imam Shafii says that "whoever considers istawa to be rise above or sit is a kufr and you cannot pray behind him"
However giving human attributes to Allah is kufr according to Imam Ahmad bin Hambal, when he says that "whoever says Allah is a body but different than other bodies is a kufr". [Tasyniful Masami chapter 3 page 684]

2 people greater than shafi'i and Ahmad said Allah rose over the throne as is documented in sahih al bukhari and tafseer at tabari
      That Abul Aaliyah ar-rayahi said
      《استوا》اي ارتفع
      And Mujahid said:
      《استوا》اي علا على العرش
Thus either the 2 sayings of yours have a context or they are inauthentic

    1. Who created everything?
    ALLAH
    2. Who created light and darkness, time and space, directions, such as above and below?
    ALLAH
    3. So ALLAH existed before all the creations, before light and darkness, before places and before above and below. Allah existed without a place, without directions!
Simple: ALLAH DOES NOT NEED ANY SINGLE CREATION TO EXIST.
EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD IS IN NEED OF ALLAH TO EXIST.

@@M1GarandPing Sheikh Omar has clarified this: th-cam.com/video/_8kBUFhmblw/w-d-xo.html
"Ar-rahman 'alal arsy istawa" means Allah has power over the Arsy. He has control over the greatest creation. That verse does NOT literally mean "he 'rose' above the throne". Because "rising" is an action/attribute of a creation & the words "Allah rising" contradicts with the verse "Allah does not resemble his creations"
The quran doesn't not contradict, humans do. So be careful in interpreting a verse from the quran as it was revealed in Arabic & in Arabic, one word can bring 15 meanings. In the verse "Ar-rahman 'alal arsy istawa" the word "istiwa" has 15 meanings. The meaning that is appropriate to be used for "istiwa" when it comes to Allah is that "Allah has power over the Arsy".
Hope Allah leads you & the others who watches this to the right path

Fathi may allah guide me... ya habibi... allah revealed the qur'an in arabic. arabs understand their own language.
when allah says he is with us what does it mean? yes of course allah is with us. what does "with" mean? in the video u shared, that man said that if u interpret it literally it means he is with u physically... thats wrong. "with" is a word that doesnt imply physical closeness. with can mean support. if u tell me ur struggling and i say im with u it doesnt mean i have to be beside u. that video used a bad example.
allah said about himself that he is above.
he said that he is "fis-sama"
he said that he istawa above the arsh.
he said the angels fear there lord above them using the word "fauqa"
he said the good words ascend to him.
he said he raised jesus to himself.
he said he sent down the qur'an.
      the prophets night of ascension.
look at all these different wordings allah used.
if u say above only means in authority then it wouldnt make sense that allah raised jesus to himself... are u saying he made jesus have the same level of authority as Himself? obviously not.
allah hears... we also hear.. does this mean allah is like the creation? no it doesnt. then will u deny that allah hears to make it unlike the creation?
we will see allah in paradise inshaAllah according to the hadith... are u saying that yhe people of jannah will not see allah? but the messenger of allah said that the people of jannah would see allah.
allah is unlike the creation. and allah is above the throne. and allah hears. and allah sees. and allah is above his throne. allah is above the skies. praise be to allah the most high.
allah being above does not contradict the statement of allah being unlike his creation.
and there is no compulsion in religion. may allah guide me and guide u.

Allah also said" nahnu akrabu ilayhi min hablil warid" Allah described himself how near he is, "he is even near than your jugular vein", space, time and direction cannot point where he is, because he covers space, time and direction, he covers space as he said "wa huwa maakum ayna maa kuntom" wherever you are he is there" he covers time as well when he said in one of hadith qudse " my slave abuse me, for wasting the time, because the time is me" you can search for it because i am not sure the exact sentence of it, he also covers direction he said "pa aynama tuwallu pathamma wajhullah" wherever direction you turn there will be the face of Allah" all of this explain where is Allah, but what is only missing for a muslim is to prove it otherwise he cannot testify or bear witness for the existence Allah as the only one God, ashadu an la ilaha illa allah, you cant be a witness base on hearsay you have to prove it, and maybe for you its sounds crazy, otherwise you will be blind by faith as Allah says "wamankana pi hajihi ahmah pa huwa pil akhirati ahmah waadallu sabila" whoever is blind in this world will be blind in the hereafter, and he is in the wrong way.

in Sahih al-Bukhariyy, the Prophet (SAW) said:
He existed before the Throne, heavens, place, time, direction and does not change as stated by Imam at-Tahawiyy (RA)
Abu Jafar at-Tahawiyy (RA) stated in Al-Aqidah at-Tahawiyyah (Point 13)
"He has always existed having His Attributes Eternally before creating the creation. Bringing creation into existence did not add anything to His Attributes that did not exist in Eternity. As He was, having His Attributes, in Eternity, so He will remain Everlastingly."
      (Point 38)
"He (Allah) is beyond having limits placed on Him, or being restricted, or having parts or limbs. Nor is he contained by the six directions like ALL THE CREATED THINGS"

“Allah existed eternally and there was no place. He existed before creating the creation. He existed, and there was no place, creation, or thing; and He is the Creator of everything.”
Imam Abu Hanifah said in his book, al-Wasiyyah:

And he is not in need of anything

Whatever Allah says bout himself we believe in it who are we to be able to understand the creator when we cannot even understand how the creation how the earth works how our body functions it's complexity

So, what this guy is saying all of these about Allah, and Allah created this special throne and never ones sit on it? No Islam can answer this question because Allah simply never exist. The Holy Bible states very clearly: Ezekial 1:26-27 the Son of man sits on his thrown in heaven. The Son of man who exist from everlasting to everlasting as God, the Word, the Creator and in the Flesh, John 1:1 and the Son of man sit on his throne in his glorious power Matt. 24:31. God-man that only Christian has the wisdom to understand, none else can comprehand. Usually when you create or make something you then to use it, touch it and eventually let people know that it is useful. In this case Allah found his throne to be unuseful so he hover above it forever and ever. Nice. There are people out there believe these lies.
