We went there in 2012 and it was fantastic. Sadly it flooded a few years ago but the recently re-opened it. We are from Texas and fell in love with York as well as Jorvik.
York is fantastic city and well worth a visit. Any of the museums are highly interesting and the Jorvik Centre and Dungeons are superb centres that well enlighten you to the history of the city and region. Moreover the beautiful narrow streets and plentiful shops are another attraction as is the beautiful Cathedral. All in all a great day out!
Visited York and the Jorvik Center in 1989 during my last big jaunt around England (and Scotland) before returning home after finishing my classes in London. York was one of my favorite places and the Jorvik Center was amazing.
Sadly the whole of the underground complex was flooded in 2015 and has undergone a complete "makeover". Still one of the "must see" exhibitions in York along with the newly (2022) re-opened "Clifford's Tower".
By Eck last time I went was 21 years ago. But I still remember the smells and the white car things that take u round...it amazing I still remember lol.
What you mean it is cool because it is like a ride now, Ummm the ride was in there when it opened in Spring of 1984 Also loads of other stuff that is interesting/very interesting as you know If you would of gone back in the day was so much cheaper
I am a British citizen, British diaspora of English and Scottish parents. I am considering moving my family back home. We were victims of the Windrush scam (they told our fathers they had too many workers and subsidised their travel to the colonies while telling foreigners they had no workers and subsidised their travel to the UK - literally the Hooton Plan, or Kalergi Plan, almost verbatim). Meanwhile once our parents married British diaspora in the colonies they weren't able to bring them home thus trapping tens of millions of us abroad. But now they are long gone, so I was considering moving home. So. How cucked is York? How eradicated are indigenous peoples from the region? What kind of pozzed cancer would I face there on the day to day?
LOL based. York is one of the least hit cities by Talmudic doctrine. Still a very beautiful place but how long that lasts is anybody’s guess. Your best bet is moving to the countryside. Welcome home brother. We need you.
Wow ! I wish people did this all over the world! History is so important and we need to remember it properly! Can't wait to visit sometime.
All museums should be like this.

I was ther yesterday at the dig and the day before that at the centre
Would like to take my son there show him about his ancestors
I went there on a school trip when it was just a dig. Many years later, I took my children to the centre. amazing, but a bit smelly :D
