Hello, I'm an African linguist. I hear Bislama, and it sounds to me like Nigerian pidgin, or Jamaican patois, or Creole, or Swahili. Is there a surviving version of Bislama that is spoken with no English influence ?

doubt it, Bislama is a Creole language, so it is basically English words with local grammar. There's approximately 5% of words in Bislama that are not English-based, and these are French influences.
