Because Africans and AA and other diaspora blacks have rarely interacted or been in touch until only recently especially due to social media and what’s happening all over the world! My point is that Africans have always learnt about European history and Arab history and Asian history to a limited scope because they continue to interact and impact on the continent. The only time we are taught about the rest of the world is geography. Given the huge resources available overseas where Africans were sold I feel they are the ones who should be held responsible for erasing or hiding most parts of the history of their citizens. You must remember that even in Africa not everything or for that matter everyone history is recorded! Only tribes or kings and queens that had a big influence are mentioned. Finally most of our history is oral (passed from mouth to mouth) by elders which is dying out too due to “civilization”, “modernization”, Unfortunately even the well meaning African and African diaspora TH-camr are not helping in recording whatever little history is left because they are more concerned with letting the rest of the world know how much Africa is finally playing catch up 😂!

There was history classes where slavery was taught in the 70s. I don't know what happened after Rawlings staged a coup in December 1981. I heard he stopped the teaching of history in high schools because most of Ghana history had to deal with Ashanti history and he and his cohorts hatef Ashantis

Hey, bigups to you showing off these lessons to the world about these slave dungeons. Do all people in Ghana know about these slave dungeons? My friend in the USA from Ghana said slave trade, dungeons were not taught as part of education curriculum. Is that correct?

UK wrote out text books for a long time so it was never included. They rather included their army generals and how good they were to us.
If you don't choose history as a major, you don't get to hear any of these until you gets to college where African studies is compulsory.

Slavery did happen but the most percentage of black American are indigenous to America even though there's a percentage of afrika grom continent and mixture , American land belong to black American it's only that white msn stole their identity and dignity. I didn't mean black Merican must not visit their cousin on the continent and it's needed for our survival as a race all over the world and for doing businesses abd partnership. We need each other than before but let's no lie to our black American that they were all tsken from Afrika even though we are obe family , those people are indigenous to that land called America same with black Indian the untouchable prople in India ;same eith black in Australia . We melanin dominant human beings are indigenous to the whole earth before any race , we are everywhere . But for our survival we must unite and be our brothers keeper. Thank you very much .
