Which players are you avoiding?
Let's Talk FPL I’m avoiding the obvious ones like Alexis Sanchez, but in terms of less obvious players that I’m avoiding, I’m going to avoid all Chelsea players (except, ironically, Kante) since I don’t think they’ve got very much going for them, at all, currently.
Back 4 of trent robbo (or vvd) Mendy (or laporte) Digne looks like a solid base kicking it off to me

Totally accept everything about Doherty, you always make good points, you watch though if he has a good week 1 against Leicester, the self-kicking and knee-jerking rise in ownership that will happen. Personally I like Wolves very much, love how they attack and I do believe that there's no reason why that should all dry up, especially as he is a nailed starter. But yeh a tiny bit steep in price rise.
Think he should have been 5.5 max - more interest in him then

I would never invest 21.5 into 2 Man City Midfielders they have way to much rotation and its where they sub the most during the game,they have way to much depth in midfield and they are strengthening it even more in the transfer window.If De Bruyne is fit and plays a lot in preseason have him in your team cause 9.5 is value for him and use the 12.0 from Sterling and the 6.5 from Jota and get Kane and Fraser/Felipe anderson.
I would also try get digne in from Everton instead of AWB as nobody knows what to expect from United or Ole in the new season.I think for 0.5 more Digne offers way more in terms of goals and assists and bonus points and everton have the best run of any team to start with.

In addition to the points for doherty, he didnt start for a couple of games at the end of the season and was hurting my team alot until i swapped him out. He might not be a regular starter this season, especially with europa league. AWB is just a horrible pick at 5.5mil. Where you can get so many other defenders at his price and/or below for better point production. Especially when man u are a big question mark currently.
AWB is a bonus point magnet? Young is the reason we had so few clean sheets last season

I’d be careful with mendy , for 6m it’s a very good choice but with angelino being all but confirmed and with mendy being injury prone he might fall out of picking order

I like your video concepts, but I would prefer shorter videos. Longer videos like this are better suited for podcasts, imo. When I watch a TH-cam-video, I rarely want to watch something over 5 minutes.
That's fair enough but this is kind of my style, I like to talk about options without being nailed to a script so they are often a bit longer. It's only 13 minutes though, you can ignore the intro and outro which shortens it some more.
If you prefer scripted / shorter videos maybe try FPL Tips and FPL TV?

Defenders have been very overpriced. Doherty, Periera, Digne are just not worth it when you can get defenders from man city and liverpool for the same price

Surely I can't be the only person who thinks jorginho could end up becoming a great pick if he is on penalties. The introduction of var could help him along with him getting a more attacking role.

VAR has actually reduced the number of penalties in other leagues
If united get a cb + cdm I think they’ll be ok for clean sheets but there will still be much better options still from other teams.
Wolves has Europa to play as well so their performance might be below as per last season.

I would only be using him as bench fodder anyway, but out of all the 4.5 forwards he seems the most likely to get a run of games.
you may find that if he doesn't play much, his value might shoot down, especially if he has a ownership of about 5%

If utd sign a cb I wouldn’t put wan bissaka as a ‘risk’
Espiecially compared to the price of other fullbacks.
Potentially two new defenders in a team that was catastrophic in defence last season? At least give it a month or two and see how pre-season and the start of the season goes before going into Wan-Bissaka.
Also: Even *if* United does well and Wan-Bissaka gets clean sheets, 5.5m is extremely expensive for a defender that isn't proven in attacking points. He also doesn't take any set pieces or penalties, likely very far down on the list as well. For the same 5.5m you could get Matt Ritchie who takes absolutely all set pieces (including penalties) for Newcastle, he also is placed in defence in Fantasy but under the next manager he could quickly return to his natural position at midfield/wing.

Drench 15 fair point, but the (potential) value of Ritchie isn’t clean sheets. It’s the assists and goals we expect of Ritchie, something we don’t expect from Wan-Bissaka.

If i have decided to invest alot in mid and always have 1 striker in the bench so why not invest 0.5 and have Long. So everything is fine but i disagree with what you think about Shane Long, best part we all know he will start now irrespective of favourable fixtures. It will be nice if you have an answer to what ive just typed.

I feel 442 or 352 are the best options to begin. My third striker is a 4.5 currently due to only wanting 2 forwards. Premium defender and mids will dictate this season

You are spot on...
I'd avoid him for the first couple but I expect AWB to be a good pick. UTD should rebound to 15ish CS's, he could well improve slightly for assists in a better team and chances are over a full season he'll bag a goal, he was also hurt by the sending off last year which shouldn't happen again. The thing I really like about him are the BAPS though, last year only Pogba (whose goals are highly likely to decline significantly) was inside the top 38 for bonuses and the top 71!!! for the bonus points system. AWB was excellent for BAPS and could be positioned to mop them up for utd.
1 goal + 3 assists, 15 CS'S and 25 BAPS equates to about 160 points depending on how many you lose for yellows and goals conceeded. For 5.5 thats pretty decent
I agree with the first 4, but I do think Shane long is one of those players who makes an impact when he’s plays. Saints might go with Che and ings up front for gw1, depends how Che does in pre season though.
Just not sure Long is going to get enough game time and surely no-one is going to start him in their XI?

I'd say don't get a midfielder worth less then 7m. Why would one spend 6m on a midfielder who may get you around 140 points (top scoring mid last season) as opposed to a 6m defender and get around 160 points? Going on last seasons points of course.

Good vid mate, however I have AWB in my team easily. Superb defender who should boost United with fixtures against teams they deserve one over. The opening fixtures against Chelsea and Wolves, teams who don't free score are very attainable clean sheets. AWB is a BPS magnet and could easily get a 9 pointer there compared to the likes of Laporte who may keep 2 CS, but at 6pts a piece (with no likely BPS with City's attacking talent) + he's 1m more. Relying on a clubs bad return using previous seasons tallies has a silly track record in FPL for a top six team. The year before Man U were CS kings. Also, you can expect AWB's attacking returns to be much more influential now that he's at United. Also, he's young, hungry, and much room to be a better player.

I think Wan-Bassaka was priced right. Remember that PvA at Palace is also prices at 5.5mil. having said that no need to pick up Wan unless Man U drastically improve along with those opening fixtures

Rory Nefdt if mendy. An stay fit he is a good buy although he will have the occasional game where he’s rotated and moura is good first 2 game weeks but after that with Kane and son and if eriksen stays he is not likely to start
