I have a big problem with not much joy too. I’m praying through it. We lost our home to a fire. 2 years ago. My moms last letter to me before she went Home. Everything we worked for for 60 years. No insurance, our home was too old. But worst of all my precious little dogs. God has been teaching me so much in these past years. The only joy I have is in Jesus. Not my family, nothing in this world for sure. But the pain of that day when the memories come in like a flood I call on His name,Jesus. It will get better. But it doesn’t matter what we lose it’s learning to allow the Lord to teach us through life’s hardest struggles. I’m going to pray for you starting today Roger. Just knowing we have Jesus living inside our hearts, knowing we will spend eternity with Him is enough for me. And He will pull you , and me and others through this. You keep thanking the Lord for your joy wether you feel it or not. We go by faith not feelings. And know people are praying for you. Thank the Lord everytime you are depressed or lonely. Remember your going to spend eternity with the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings forever!
Alot of times I think of those who are so much less fortunate than us or who have gone through so much worse. Keep the faith my brother Roger. God has you in His righteous right hand and nothing can take you away from Him. God bless
