- 4 days camping solo in rivers known for huge saltwater crocodiles. Day 1 just getting to the Ord River was a mission with the winds up and causing havoc. Come along this epic adventure with highs and low and catching the famous barramundi with amazing cook ups. Straight to the freshwater we go and explore new ground.

Bloody awesome Chris the Ord is still pumping fresh to hard but I can tell you the fishing their will be off tap soon. I will definitely be doing another trip for sure. Im luck I had my Malay mum to tech me a few tricks in cocking mate.

Gday Patrick, as Andy and I have never meet each other he’s a champion, just a down to earth bloke but don’t worry our paths will cross and get to have a fish and snag a few Barra and plenty of laughs I reckon. Im Glad you like the cook ups mate I did have a sub say too much cooking not enough fishing and said fare well, so I have stopped the cooking for now. Just had to look up where Corindi Beach was gee be hard to catch Barra there mate 🥺😂

No Barra in Corindi Beach 30 minutes north of Coffs Harbour about 3 hours below Gold Coast. Have done some Barra fishing up in the NT when my bro was living there. Hope to get up to Darwin in next 12 months to do some of the rivers nearby. Never fished WA, but my nephew Stirling Fearon was the Manager of Carlton Hill Station in Kununurra for about 5 years. I'd be using a landing net mate the crocs are getting more game these days seen a few close calls leaning out the boat like that especially if ya fishing in one spot for a bit

Lovely stuff mate do you get many other boats around how far would that other boat have to travel compared to you.
Hey Russel. That day I traveled about 90km just getting there. The other boat was only 8km away from their camp. I rarely see another boat mate and that’s what makes Wyndham pretty bloody special and untouched.
