We cut down a large Madrone tree and dug the root out

I am so sad we had to cut this tree down, it was one of my favorite trees and my very favorite madrone. This tree though was in the way of the driveway going up to our property and I'm sure you can see, once we cut it, it had a huge hollow area in the middle where it looks like it was once struck by lightening. Long story short, although I loved it, it would have eventually feel if we didn't cut it.

Hi there, thanks.. We have 6.5 acres. A lot of the property toward the flag pole side is moist most of the time, so it probably would be.
